Just Don’t Tell Obama

“Pssst. Hey, we’re going to launch an attack against Yemen. Just don’t tell Obama.

It is a sad, sad day for the world at large when the single superpower on Planet Earth cannot be trusted by its own allies.

Take a listen to this clip of NBC correspondent Richard Engel.

Engel: “Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries didn’t consult extensively with the US military. I know several people in the US military who were taken by surprise by this. Senior officials who would have been expected to know that there was going to be an operation in Yemen … ah … they didn’t. They were finding out about it almost in real time. And they believe and some US members of the Congress believe that the reason that Saudi Arabia and other states didn’t tell the US that it was going to launch this war against Shiite-backed or Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen is because Saudi Arabia and other countries simply don’t trust the United States anymore. Don’t trust this Administration. Think the Administration is working to befriend Iran to try and make a deal in Switzerland. And therefore didn’t feel that the intelligence, frankly, would be secure. And I think that’s a situation that is quite troubling for US foreign policy where traditional allies like Saudi Arabia, like Egypt, like the United Arab Emirates don’t know if the US is reliable at this stage to hold on to sensitive information when it comes to Iran.”

Well, of course they don’t think the US is reliable to hold on to sensitive information.

Look what the Obama Administration did to our ally Israel this past week when they declassified sensitive information regarding Israel’s nuclear program.

The truth is this Administration can’t be trusted.

Obama supporters in the press will claim that this was all on purpose. Obama didn’t get involved in this attack against Yemen because he wants Mideast nations to fight their own battles (which is precisely what Juan Williams argued on the Five last night).

But as much as they may want to claim that by staying out of this fight, Obama is forcing Saudi Arabia and other nations to stand up for themselves, it is simply untrue.

First of all, Obama isn’t staying out of this fight.

There is a sectarian jihad in the Middle East right now between Shiite and Sunni Muslims.

Obama isn’t staying out of it in the least. He is up to his neck in it. He and his proxy Valerie Jarrett. They are on the side of the Shiites.

When it comes to Yemen, the only thing Obama was going to do was scamper out of there and leave the nation to the Shiite rebels backed by Iran.

Look, it is far worse than “Obama can’t be trusted.”

It isn’t simply that this Administration can’t keep a secret. Heaven knows they can. When it comes to Obama’s own past, his murky childhood and upbringing, his college transcripts, they keep things locked up tight, tight, tight.

When it comes to keeping secrets from the American People whether it’s about the contents of Obamacare, the contents of the FCC Net Neutrality plan, the contents of this “deal” with Iran, Benghazi, the IRS — the list goes on — Obama is an expert at hiding things.

Obama can’t be trusted because he will maliciously reveal the secrets of others in order to harm them. From petty, vicious things like getting divorce records unsealed, to deadly things like declassifying sensitive information about an ally’s nuclear program.

Obama can’t be trusted because he has taken a side in this fight, and he is siding with Iran.

Saudi Arabia, as inbred and wackadoo as they may be, aren’t stupid. They know Obama is allying himself with the other side. The last thing you do when you plan on launching a surprise attack is tell the ally of your enemy.

It would be like the US sending a cable to Mussolini on June 4, 1944 letting him know of our plans to invade France on the sixth.

It would be like Japan notifying the British in advance of their surprise attack against Pearl Harbor.

Barack Obama is Iran’s ally.

Of course the Saudis didn’t tell him.

And why would Egypt trust this man?

President Sisi has received zero support from this Administration. Obama abandoned Egypt in August 2013 when Sisi ousted Obama’s buddies in the Muslim Brotherhood. The Obama Administration didn’t want Egypt to retaliate against ISIS in Libya after they beheaded Egyptian Coptic Christians two months ago. Why on earth would Sisi consult with Obama before joining the fight in Yemen?

Our allies in the Middle East do not trust Obama because he has turned his back on all of them in his reckless pursuit of this “deal” with Iran.

And let’s not mince words here. This “deal” has never been about making sure Iran cannot pursue nuclear weapons.

This “deal” is about ensuring Iranian hegemony over the Middle East for the next generation and beyond.

Why would you entrust details of a sensitive military operation aimed at stopping that hegemonic domination to the very architect of it?
