Kamala Harris — Shameless self-promoter

Not that we needed it, but I found another reason to call Kamala Harris “Obama in a pantsuit.” Like Obama, Kamala is a shameless self-promoter who loves tweeting out pictures of herself.

You remember how the Obama White House always tweeted pictures of Barack to “honor” other people or events, right?

Whether it was honoring the 58th anniversary of Rosa Parks refusing to give up her bus seat (by tweeting a picture of Barack sitting on the infamous bus) …

…or honoring Nelson Mandela on the occasion of his death (by posting a picture of Barack in Mandela’s jail cell)…

…or commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the assassination of JFK (by posting a picture of Barack staring at the White House portrait of JFK)…

It became a bit of a running joke, didn’t it?

Michelle Obama was just as much of a self-promoter as her husband.

My favorite example of Self-Promoter Michelle is from 2016. When the National Zoo’s panda cub Bei Bei turned a year old, Michelle Obama celebrated this “precious treasure’s” birthday with a picture of herself. Bei Bei, that “precious treasure,” was nowhere to be seen.

It was like a sickness with those two.

And apparently that sickness is contagious.

Because now Kamala Harris is doing the same thing.

If I had to guess I’d say a lot of the same social media engagement clowns who worked for the Obamas are once again at the White House working for Kamala and Joe.

The theme her social media team has settled on appears to be “Kamala looking wistfully into the distance.”

Last week I wrote about that tweet she sent out saying “Brighter days are ahead” that included a picture of, what else, Kamala looking wistfully out the window of Air Force Two.

Yesterday evening, self-promoter Harris tweeted out the message “Get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.” And for some inexplicable reason, the vapid VP felt the need to include a picture …

… of herself looking wistfully into the distance.

Why? Who the hell knows?!

What in blazes does a picture of Kamala staring off into the distance have to do with “get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do?”

At least Obama tweeting the picture of himself in the famous Rosa Parks bus seat had something to do with Rosa Parks.

Maybe it’s just me, but that picture of Harris has that “Dear Leader” vibe to it — like posters of Mao looming large over the Chinese people.

But why tweet a photo at all? Why not just tweet “get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do?”

Because Kamala Harris is a shameless self-promoter, that’s why.

Her polling numbers are abysmal. Republicans and Independents can’t stand the woman. So her social media team is no doubt trying to goose her poll numbers by inundating us with pictures of the fool looking wistful and self-important.

Yeah. I don’t think that’s going to work.
