As you can well imagine, the NeverTrump folks are thrilled! They are flooding websites and Twitter to “LOL!!” at the news. Yes! Cruz stood up to that bully Trump! Trump is going to go down in flames!! He’s gonna lose big! And when he does Ted Cruz will be vindicated, and the #NeverTrump movement will get to rub everyone’s faces in it!!!

On November 8th when Hillary makes her acceptance speech, Americans will be left with that sick feeling in the pit of their stomachs, but at least Ted Cruz will be vindicated! And the whole #NeverTrump movement will be able to do a dance of triumph on America’s grave.

After all. This isn’t about the fate of our nation. This isn’t about preventing a felonious criminal like Hillary Clinton from ever getting her hands on power. This isn’t about stopping the complete radicalization of the Supreme Court. It isn’t about the destruction of the First Amendment. This isn’t about the nullification of the Second Amendment. Or the fight against ISIS. Or the complete breakdown of our civil society.
Not at all.
This is about the day, sometime in the future, at some point (trust us!), when the #NeverTrumpers can slap Ted Cruz on the back and celebrate that he finally was vindicated!! And when that happens, the #NeverTrump movement will have their moment in the sun — to wag their fingers at us and smugly declare that they were right.
Of course by then, the Internet will be so heavily regulated and conservative websites a thing of the past. So nobody will get to see them gloat.

I was NEVER #neverTrump. BUT he is on the wrong side of letting men and teens invade girl’s and women’s’ locker rooms and other public private single sex places. He must listen to our voices like he said he would , our children and women must have their privacy protected. According to Donald Trump, and I heard this come out of his mouth on video, people should use the bathroom according to the gender they feel most comfortable using – Trump says there haven’t been any problems with that.

Damn Trump to hell if he doesn’t immediately cancel, with prejudice, Obama’s directive on the transgender children and adult invasion. People have to read the full directive, it forbids teachers and counselors from telling a child’s parents “it” has decided to be transgender without the child’s permission. A child. A child is up to something, a crazy fad, and mental illness, and the teachers and counselors are forbidden to tell the parents. Just let that sink in people.
This is not a state issue – it was a declaration from the federal executive and the next federal executive (Trump) must immediately stop the insanity.

I was not a “Never Trump” person, either. I know VERY well what’s at stake this election season. For me, personally, this is not about vindicating Cruz. I STILL believe, as I said in a previous comment a few months back, that those of us who call ourselves Christian need to start showing some evidence of it. We either serve a God who is STILL powerful enough to chanel our circumstances…in THIS case, pulling our collective feet from the fire…or we don’t. If we DO believe that, again, we need to quit surrender our principles, and rather than vote for the lesser of two evils, we vote our consciences, and trust God with the results.
Utter bull excrement. Perhaps He’s testing us to see if we’re worthy as a nation to continue on. Surely that premise is as valid as yours. There’s isn’t any lesser of two evil here there is just evil from two individuals representing two parties with the same goal. Screw them both! Bring on the civil war!
I believe we’ve already proven how unworthy we are as a nation. (The innocent blood of very nearly 60,000,000 babies since Roe v. Wade; the national stamp of approval we gave homosexual “marriage” last year.) God has given us a blueprint in His Word on how we can bring our nation back from the brink. “If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray; seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven. I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14.
God has given us about 40 years to return to Him; and rather than repenting, our country has steadily lost almost all vestiges of morality. We are now a decidedly pagan nation. Most of our churches have caved regarding moral issues. In fact…and only my opinion…9/11 was a wake-up call. But did we take it seriously? After about a week.. when we saw that nothing else happened…it was “back to business” as usual. Not only did we NOT repent…in the years since, we’ve knocked ourselves out to promote perversion on a national scale. I believe the attacks we’ve seen on American soil, beginning with the attack on Ft Hood, to the most recent in Orlando, are the beginning of God’s judgment on our nation.
So while I respect your opinion, I can’t agree with it.
As to “there IS no lesser of two evils here.. ” I’m not sure how you can make that argument, when you went on to say they are two people who are BOTH doing evil. I concur. But since they ARE both doing evil, then one of them (depending on which side of the political aisle you’re on) would, indeed, be a vote for the lesser evil. Again…just my opinion.

I’m also not a NeverTrump guy, though I was a hard core Cruz supporter. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, since my vote here in the People’s Republic of NY is likely to be irrelevant, I’ll probably vote my conscience, but knowing what a disaster the Queen of Cankles would be for our country, I’d encourage anyone in a swing state to vote for Trump.
But the Donald has a much bigger problem than the small number of never Trump folks in that he ran such a nasty, personal, divisive campaign that he’s alienated political activists like me and my friends so much that although we’ll vote for him, we we’re not going to work for him. No donations, no phone banking, no traveling around the country, no organizing or campaigning as we have always done in the past, even for losers like McCain and Romney.
As you’ve spelled out so eloquently, Hitlery would be a disaster, but The Trumpster has lost the grass roots activists I know. We won’t be volunteering our time, money and shoe leather to his campaign, and I don’t see how he can win without us. Do you?
The campaign has been over for a while now and he’s still maligning Cruz and supporters. Why do you suppose that is? Next question: Why do you believe there’s so many Never Trump’ers out there? It’s Trump himself, it’s his demented followers it’s the media that eggs him on.
I hate Hillary and Obama both enough to pay money to pull the lever to the trap door but Trump I now despise/hate even more. America has sinned so terribly that the our Lord will give us the leaders we deserve. Think about it and then make preparations.
Cruz said “vote your conscience up and down the ticket” and Trump assumed that he was dissing him. Do Trump’s people have a problem with their own consciences that they would make that assumption? Trump has continued his bullying and false allegations at Cruz and I have had about enough with his childishness. That said, I will hold my nose and vote for the odious [email protected]@rd knowing full well that he will be immediately impeached if he were to try a tenth of Obama’s shenanigans. That is the only thing that will get me to vote for him, and if the Republicans in the House and Senate get too close to him, I will bolt to Johnson – even though I don’t want another pothead in the White House either.
