The only thing “historic” about Barack Obama’s unconditional surrender to the Castro Regime is that it is, in fact, an unconditional surrender.

Nothing sums up the victory of the Castros over the world’s sole superpower quite like this photo.

This is limp-wristed leadership from the man who believes his job as President isn’t to defeat those who embrace tyranny, but embrace those who defeat liberty.

Every photo and video clip I’ve seen of Obama in Cuba show him stupidly grinning like a teenage girl meeting Justin Bieber.

The guy is as happy as a pig in shit.

But of course he is.

Barack Obama is a man who has spent his entire life steeped in communism. From Frank Marshall Davis to Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s surrounded by not just communist-sympathizers, but full-bore radical communists.

He doesn’t seek change in Cuba.

He seeks change in America.

To Obama, our fight to defeat tyrannical despots was “misguided.” For fifty years, the US has sought to undermine the Castro regime and free the people of Cuba. And in one fell swoop, Barack Hussein Obama has declared defeat and surrendered to the very regime that has kept its own people in chains.

Meanwhile, the number of Cuban refugees who are making their way to the US through Mexico is on the rise [Hat tip the Texas Tribune].

From October 2015 to February 2016, more than 18,500 Cubans arrived at Texas’ Laredo field office of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which includes ports from Del Rio to Brownsville. If that trend continues, it will shatter last year’s numbers for the same ports, when a record 28,371 crossed. During the 2015 fiscal year, more than 43,150 arrived at the 20 CBP field offices in the United States that process immigrants. More than half — 25,800 — arrived in only the first five months of the current fiscal year.

And what happens to those who seek to flee this oppressive regime now that Obama is “normalizing” relations with Cuba? As Obama reaches out in friendship to the Castros, will those that flee the Castros still be considered “refugees?” Or are they doomed to remain under the boot of the very tyranny Obama embraces?

Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War by defeating the tyranny of the Soviet Union.

In his joint press conference with Raul Castro on Monday, Barack Obama announced that he was ending the Cold War with Cuba, not by defeating the Castros, but by embracing them.

He ended this Cold War, not by victory, but by surrender.

The United States of America — once a shining city on a hill — has its beacon of liberty snuffed out by Barack Obama’s own limp-wristed hand.
