Mr. Opinions has some competition

I’ve referred to Barack Obama as Mr. Opinions for quite a while.

In fact, in June 2013, I wrote a column called Mr. Opinions where I compared Barack to Dear Abby — or, as I called him, Dear Obabby.

Dear Obabby

No matter the subject, Mr. Opinions has to weigh in. Gay in the military, concussions in football, the Cambridge police department, the weather, Trayvon Martin, Ahmed Mohamed — no subject is off limits.

Obama has to horn in and weigh in on everything whether we want him to or not.

Well it looks as though Mr. Opinions has some competition.

As you probably know, Pope Francis is coming to America. No doubt to lecture us on not being sufficiently contrite about Climate Change or having the audacity to believe the freest nations are ones with a free market economy. And of course to shame us for not wanting our nation overrun with illegals.

No offense to Catholics, but your Pope is a buttinsky and a Nosy Parker who is more driven by politics than he is by anything written in the Bible.

Francis answers the age-old question, “What would Obama be like if he were the Pope and not the President?”

So blinded by Marxism, this Pope is giving Christ a bad name.

Most Popes have enough sense to not wade into politics. Even John Paul II, when he stood up against the scourge of communism did it for the simple reason that communism was an anti-Christian, humanist movement that threatened religious freedom. He didn’t just blunder into the issue for political reasons.

But Francis is a political figure, not a religious figure.

He is so earthly-minded, he’s not heavenly good.

He isn’t concerned with the souls of men, but the cares and concerns of the world.

He is a humanist, like Obama. He is a Marxist, like Obama.

And he seems to think he needs to lecture everyone on every topic under the sun.

You know. Like Obama.

It is possible for a Christian to believe in being good stewards of the Earth without becoming Climate Change fetishists.

But Francis doesn’t seem to realize that.

Of course he doesn’t.

For him, an avowed Marxist, “Climate Change” is about destroying the free markets, obliterating capitalism and advancing communism.

I mean, come on. Raul Castro loves this pope. Doesn’t that make your spider sense tingle just a bit?!

The greatest threat to Christianity comes not from Islam (although they’re giving it their best). It comes from secular humanism like that advanced by the Communists.

Goal #27 of the 45 Goals of Communism:
Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

Pope Francis is working overtime to do just that.

And it is this “New and Improved” Marxist Religion that Francis is trying to ram down everyone’s throat like a spoonful of Ipecac.

And just like Obama, no subject is off limits in this push to Fundamentally Transform the Catholic church into a vehicle for Leftist Humanism.

It really is a shame that Pope John Paul II isn’t alive today to turn the tide against tyranny as he did in the 1980s.

Instead, the Catholic church is stuck with a know-it-all Marxist who not only embraces, but promotes the religion of Humanism like it’s heaven on earth.

Although he’s had his moments with CFK when he was archbishop of Buenos Aires, Pope Francis is a Peronist and therein lies the problem, as you well know. As the leader of the largest Christian church in the world (>1.25billion Roman Catholics), I would rather he forego talking about climate change and speak to the problems of the growing oppression and persecution of Christians and our beliefs throughout the world, including in the US, as well as the Islamic slaughter of Christians. I know Stalin once asked how many divisions the Pope had at his disposal; I wonder if Putin, Khamenei, and Obama are of the same mindset as Papa Joe? Pius XII (whose place in history is still being sorted out) answered Stalin be telling him he would find out when he passed on; I was hoping Francis would be more direct.
