My money’s on Ben Rhodes

Yesterday, Fox News reporter Adam Housley reported that sources have confirmed that the “unmasker” of Trump people is “very well known, very high up, very senior, in the intelligence world.”

What’s more, Housely reports that Devin Nunes “now knows who is responsible” for this unmasking. And it is not the FBI.

Naturally, this has led to wild speculation as to who this unmasker is.

The Federalist’s Sean Davis offered this poetic guess

Yeah. Clapper is a good guess.

But if I were a bettin’ gal, my money would be on Ben Rhodes.

Or, perhaps I should put it this way:

Roses are red
But roses cost loads
So I’d rather put my money on Rhodes

Housely’s report includes this:

“The main issue in this case, is not only the unmasking of these names of private citizens, but the spreading of these names for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security or an investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election,” a congressional source close to the investigation told Fox News.

Note the operative phrase “for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security.”

These names were spread to friendly reporters who were guaranteed to burp them out on command.

Now, who do we know who would do that kind of crap?

I’ll give you a hint. His name rhymes with toads.

Remember when the New York Times did a profile on Ben Rhodes last year? Rhodes admits that he fed the false narrative about the Iran Deal to friendly journalists who were more than happy to peddle the lies.

I wrote about it HERE.

And in my post about it, I link to a column at Mediaite by Alex Griswold titled Obama Advisor Openly Brags About Lying to the Public, Media Yawns.

Among other things, Griswold wrote:

That’s the real scandal here: not that the White House lied, not that they admitted to lying, not that they admitted that the media and “experts” helped them lie. The real story here is that this is all so typical, most Washington insiders failed to realize this was something that the average American would even be outraged by.

Ben Rhodes is just the person to use his position within Obama’s National Security Team to unmask American citizens to advance a political agenda.

Even FBI Director James Comey can’t say if Ben Rhodes would have access to unmasked names. Which leads me to suspect that he did.

Check out this segment from Trey Gowdy’s questioning of Comey at the March 20th hearing:

Gowdy: Would former White House Advisor Ben Rhodes have access to an unmasked US citizen’s name?
Comey: I don’t know the answer to that.

I’m thinking if Rhodes wouldn’t have access, Comey would have said so.

Not only that. But I find it odd that after citing central national security and intelligence officials like James Clapper, John Brennan, Susan Rice and Loretta Lynch, Comey tosses in Ben Rhodes.

Odd, but to me, quite telling.

It begs the question, does Comey suspect Rhodes as well?

But the other reason I think Ben Rhodes is behind this is because he is the one who has been vehemently denying that the Obama Administration was surveilling the Trump team.

Says the guy who admitted that he lied to the American public about the Iran Deal.

Methinks the lady protests too much.

James Clapper is a snake in the grass, to be sure. But he doesn’t have a phalanx of dutiful “reporters” on his speed dial who are more than happy to do his bidding.

Ben Rhodes, on the other hand, most certainly does.

I like your idea concerning Rhodes. I, too, was surprised when Gowdy included his name among the usual suspects. Clapper does not strike me, based on my personal experience with him in the AF, as a master unmasker — an unwitting one, for sure; but a purposeful one, very doubtful. Whereas Ben Rhodes, with his large ego and arrogance surpassed only be Obama’s, strikes me very much to be the Verbal Kint kind of schemer who thinks he’s too brilliant to be caught.

Every liberal judge in the damned country is doing this Kenyan prick’s dirty work.Yesterday a judge in Kentucky ruled a lawsuit brought by three whiny,publicity-seeking slugs can go forward. When the paid agitators were disrupting one of his campaign rallies he told security to “get them out of here.”They claimed that was inciting a riot. There’s a war coming and it won’t be pretty.
