Nevertheless She Desisted: Pocahasbeen’s Gone Dark

Not since Tuesday evening has the queen of Nevertheless She Persisted been heard from.  Not one word. Not a tweet, not an interview, not a campaign appearance – nothing.

Yup.  The lady famous for refusing to shut the hell up has gone dark.

All it took was a complete routing on Super Tuesday to turn Nevertheless She Persisted into Nevertheless She Desisted.

Elizabeth Warren hasn’t made so much as a peep since.

I’m sure a lot of this is inconsolable grief mixed with wounded pride.

To spend a year shrieking “I’m the only one!” like you’re the non-Native American version of Highlander only to have your ass handed to you on Super Tuesday has to sting.

Though I admit, there’s something Schadenfreuderiffic about the woman whose entire brand was built on that infamous “Nevertheless She Persisted” suddenly darting for the nearest hole and hiding.

Next time Liz Warren violates Senate rules and refuses to shut up, instead of lecturing her on the rules, Mitch McConnell should just say, “Hey, remember Super Tuesday when you lost every state including your own?”

Liz would shut down so fast, a black hole would form where her mouth is.

And while Liz is in hiding like a dyspeptic Greta Garbo, her campaign team is in talks with both the Biden camp and Bernie’s over which will receive the coveted Pocahasbeen endorsement.

Of course she is.

Liz is nothing if not opportunistic.  I have no doubt the priority for her is “what’s in it for me?!”

I mean since you’re bound to piss off half your supporters no matter which candidate you endorse, you might as well ask for Vice President, am I right?

Meanwhile, her grieving fans are wringing their hands and bemoaning what went wrong. Why, oh why did Elizabeth Warren collapse so completely?!

Naturally (because of course) the only possible reason is misogyny.

I wonder how her army of bitter Hillary voters on Twitter will react when they hear that Pocahasbeen’s campaign people are scheming with both Bernie and Biden.

No doubt they’ll try and rationalize their heroine’s self-serving plotting as proof of just how brilliant she is.

But speaking as someone who for years wished Elizabeth Warren would shut the hell up, I’m enjoying the heck out of her going dark.

So much so, I’m considering making an embroidered pillow with the phrase “Nevertheless She Desisted.”
