Now they see themselves as soldiers

I keep telling you these guys always push too hard and too far.

And for some reason the Left seems to go out of its way to prove me right.

Yesterday, CNN had the audacity to publish an “opinion” piece by an ethics professor from Notre Dame that compares “journalists” to soldiers.

Yeah, that’s going to go over well.

The self-important drivel is frankly a little hard to stomach.

Journalists are uniquely qualified to perform that vital role of discovering truth and combating falsehood. They have the unique skills, training and resources required; the courage and commitment needed; and an obligation under a demanding code of journalistic ethics to be responsible for the accuracy and fairness of their statements in a way that other sources of news and opinions not bound by the code — including a President who impressively averages 7.6 mistruths a day — are not.

“Uniquely qualified.”

“Unique skills, training and resources.”

Somebody better tell this dummy that April Ryan’s “unique skills” and “training” consist of being a former jazz DJ.

“Courage and commitment” and a “demanding code of journalistic ethics.”

Yes, it really is courageous sitting in a like-minded on-air panel calling Trump voters Nazis and racists.

It must be “journalistic ethics” that inspired Politico reporter Marc Caputo to call us gap-toothed garbage people.

“Accuracy and fairness?”

Like cutting video to make it look like Trump emptying a box of fish food was some kind of never-before-seen boorishness the likes of which the world has ever known?

Was it that “demanding code of journalistic ethics” that inspired Chris Cillizza to put a rifle scope on a gif of President Trump?

Sleeping with a Senate staffer to get classified information — talk about a demanding code of journalistic ethics.

How many retractions and corrections have the news media had to make over the last two years?

Did Brian Ross lose his job because of his “demanding code of journalistic ethics?”

Just over the last few days these courageous and committed, uniquely qualified discoverers of the truth claimed that Donald Trump is telling a whole different story about that nothing burger “Trump Tower meeting.”

Not one thing about Trump’s tweet about that meeting is different from what he said last year.

Yet so committed are they to combatting falsehood, these guys are committing, well, falsehood.

But the most galling part of this idiotic “opinion” piece from an ethics professor is this:

We thank soldiers for their service because they devote themselves to protecting our freedoms, and we should. But we should also thank the media for the same reason — especially when the stakes have never been higher.

Okay, so last year there were people in the news media comparing Antifa to those brave American soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy.

And now, in defense of these “uniquely qualified” peddlers of fake news, this “ethics” professor is comparing them to soldiers.

This is the height of hubris.

The on-air personalities of CNN aren’t brave, selfless defenders of freedom.

They are shills committed to undermining and delegitimizing the duly elected President of the United States. Committed to nullifying the voters who elected him.

And they will do and say anything to make it happen.

Protectors of freedom?

Give me a freaking break.

And the fact that someone would unironically try to portray them of being like the brave men and women who protect this nation would be laughable if it wasn’t so incredibly insulting.

Remember when Donald Trump was business partners with the Russian government and his company got 53 million from the Russian government investment fund called Rusnano that was started by Vladimir Putin and is referred to as “Putin’s Child”?

Oh wait, that wasn’t Trump it was John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump received 500 thousand for a speech in Moscow and paid for by Renaissance Capital, a company tied to Russian Intelligence Agencies?

Oh wait, that was Bill Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump approved the sale of 20% of US uranium to the Russians while he was Secretary of State which gave control of it to Rosatom the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump lied about that and said he wasn’t a part of approving the deal that gave the Russians 1/5 of our uranium, but then his emails were leaked showing he did lie about it?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton and John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump got 145 million dollars from shareholders of the uranium company sold to the Russians?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump accepted millions in donations from Russian Oligarchs like the chairman of a company that’s part of the Russian Nuclear Research Cluster, the wife of the mayor of Moscow, and a close pal of Putin’s?

Oh wait, that was the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump failed to disclose all those donations before becoming the Secretary of State, and it was only found out when a journalist went through Canadian tax records?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump told Mitt Romney that the 80s called and it wanted its Russian policy back. The Cold War is over?

Oh wait, that was President Obama.

Man… Trump’s ties to Russia are really disgusting!

On Progressive soldiers, marching as to war
With the book of Karl Marx going on before
    Chris, the loathsome Matthews, leads against the folks;
forward into battle see his spittle flow!

    With lies and obfuscation, falsehood is our sword;
We will slash at all that’s decent, Saul Alinsky is our Lord!
    Our lower lips are quivering before the tweets of Trump;
We will stamp our feet and bawl like babes while we watch our ratings slump.

Danny, a more apt comparison—the left photo you have of the soldiers preparing to storm the beach, and a still from the Antifa protest of Candace Owens—scrawny, died-hair pansies, you know, the tolerant left, with bullhorns and whistles “fighting the good fight against black racists.”

This post is about the news media. So a picture of Candace being screamed at isn’t an apt comparison at all.

      Who’s Danny?
