Some people shouldn’t tweet about Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day!

On this day most sentient human beings take some time to honor Mom.

Black, brown, yellow, white, male, female, Left, Right – no matter who we are, we all have a Mother.

But still.

Some people probably shouldn’t tweet about Mother’s Day.

Especially if that person happens to be in the business of making sure women don’t become mothers.

Like, for example, Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood:

mother's day

Nothing says “I love you, Mom” quite like not putting up a fight when she has you vacuumed out of her womb.

Abortion is probably the very last thing one should celebrate on Mother’s Day.

Oh, shut up, NARAL.

“Reproductive health decisions” is the Orwellian term for “terminating a pregnancy.”

Do they not see the problem here?

If a “mom” is going to an abortion clinic to exercise her “reproductive health decisions,” then she isn’t going to be anybody’s “mom.”

This is like an atheist tweeting out “Hallelujah, He is Risen” on Easter Sunday.

Now, if Hallmark comes up with a “Thank God I’m not a Mother’s Day,” fine. Cecile and NARAL can tweet to their little hearts’ content.

In fact, we’ll let them own the entire day.

But until then, why not use the sense God gave a goat and shut the heck up about abortion on Mother’s Day.

Oh geez. At the very least they could have just STFU and crawled back under their rocks for ONE DAY.

Standing up for the rights of mothers everywhere to get the care they need…while we’re killing their babies!
There! Fixed it for you, Cecile!

Did you see what Joss Whedon tweeted about Mothers Day?

Yes. I haven’t decided if I want to bother commenting on it or not.
