It took nearly eleven months, but the incompetent Sheriff Scott Israel is finally out of a job.

Yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis dropped the hammer.

Naturally, the Keystone Sheriff is blaming the NRA.

The NRA, for Pete’s sake. Right, Sheriff, it’s the NRA’s fault that your incompetence finally got you booted — you idiotic prat.

But it’s hardly a surprise he’d blame the NRA.

After all, Israel blamed the NRA for the slaughter of seventeen students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Of course he’d blame them for losing his job.

I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if Scott Israel sues to get his job back – just like his fellow Broward County incompetent Brenda Snipes.

For Democrats incompetence, failure and multiple deaths on their watch are never disqualifiers.

But it’s particularly galling that Israel rushed to the microphones to cast himself in the role of the victim. Galling, but hardly surprising.

So, if he is suspended, how is that being fired? A suspension is an action defined by a set period of time after witch he will return to his job. Why wasn’t he fired? What am I missing here?

  Looks like the Governor has the authority to initiate suspension then it’s up to the state senate to fully suspend and or proceed with a hearing:

He should have stepped down when the vote of no confidence came through! Heck! He should have stepped down after the shooting! What an incompetent ass. And yes, they need a good lawman not an incompetent politician. He’s an entitled democrat hack! Being a democrat allows him to be stupid, incompetent and criminal and STILL keep his job. This is democrat privilege. It gets innocent people killed.

Israel’s attorney declined to say whether Israel can collect a pension for his years as sheriff. He needed to reach eight years to be vested, but was in office about six.

He’s facing something like $8k a month …. now THAT’S sustainable ….

Pushing for a gun ban on law abiding citizens while performing weapons training for radical mosques, really.
