Senseless violence?

Take a look at these senseless tweets about the “senseless violence” in Orlando:

Senseless mass shooting? Senseless violence?

Sure, when you refuse to acknowledge the existence of radical Islam, this shooting in Orlando is senseless. But there is nothing senseless about this attack. It makes perfect sense to those of us who reside on Planet Earth and recognize that radical Islamic terrorism exists.

To call this attack nothing but “senseless violence” is living in denial.

Is it really better to wring your hands and pretend that this shooting was senseless than to admit the truth? There isn’t a damn thing about this attack that is “senseless.”

To use the word senseless to describe this makes it sound like the shooter had no motive.

But we all know the motive.

Well, clearly not all of us.

These tweets are from a sitting Governor and a United States Senator — people who are in part responsible for the safety and security of American citizens.

Tell me. How can we expect to be kept safe when elected leaders like these would prefer to deny what we are up against, paint a terrorist attack as nothing but “senseless violence,” and refuse to see what is right before their eyes?

“Senseless violence”. Reminds me of a conversation I had once with my boss, the co-owner of a small chain of clothing stores, about capital punishment. (Don’t try this at home!) I told him that the only possible exception to capital punishment was if the person was insane. He said that was a basis for doing away with it, because “you have to be crazy to kill someone”. No conception of evil or avarice, just mental illness.
Violence directed against gays by a Muslim individual is “senseless” like all murderers are “insane”.

When one is in the business of solving problems, the first step is to IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. Our leadership in Washington and many state capitols are missing that critical first step that prevents them from solving the problem. I wonder how many must die before the scourge of political correctness is removed from western democracies?
