Shake-ups like these can be good

Democrats are laughing and mocking the Republican-led Congress. Establishment GOP are going on TV to complain and attack. Moron Peter King hasn’t gotten this huffy and pissed off since, well, probably Tuesday. Cable TV personalities are tossing out words like “dysfunction” and “disarray.”

All because the Republican leadership didn’t just shuffle chairs and move up after John Boehner announced his resignation.

You see, we’re supposed to look at Kevin McCarthy’s bowing out and the subsequent alleged “chaos” within the Republican caucus and believe it’s a bad thing.

But is it?

Maybe this isn’t the best quote to use, but when Clemenza tells Michael Corleone that a war among the families is a good thing, he says, “These things gotta happen very five years or so, ten years. Helps get rid of the bad blood.”

The Speaker 03

Well, there’s a lot of bad blood within the Republican Party right now. And I’m thinking shake-ups like these can be good for that.

To tell you the truth, this idea that with Boehner’s resignation, everybody just moves over one chair creates nothing but stagnation. You need an influx of new blood in leadership. Otherwise, it gets lifeless and dead. Like a pond that needs to be fed fresh spring water in order to stay alive, what’s happening the Republican Congress is great.

Our Republic is based on self-government. When the elected officials get too comfortable with their positions and their power, that is never a good thing for the people.

This shake-up is a great thing for the people. It puts the fear of God into these guys. Keeps them on their toes. Reminds them that they are there to do the will of the people. Their power is derived from our consent.

I love that this is happening.

We’ve been saying for years that Conservatives don’t need to go third party. They need to reclaim the Republican Party by loosening the stranglehold the Establishment has on it. And that is precisely what is happening.

The reason the Establishment is portraying this as a bad thing is because they know they are the ones who are losing hold.

The Republican Party isn’t what is in trouble — it is the vise-grip the Establishment has on the party that is in trouble.

And like cornered animals, they’re panicked and fighting back.

And the Democrats, who stupidly believe that this shake-up proves that the Republicans are in disarray should probably wise up. If they had any sense at all, they would be deeply afraid.

Both parties live in fear that the people will one day wrestle control away from them. It’s why they tried so hard to smear and marginalize the Tea Party movement.

The bottom line is this, what is good for the people is rarely good for those elected officials who want nothing more than to retain their power.

This shake-up in the Republican Congress has them panic-stricken. And that my friends, is the best news we’ve had since 2010.

I wish I had your optimism. We might get a new face but I don’t foresee any major policy changes coming. I think they are all like divorce lawyers. They tell you how they are going to protect your assets from your soon to be ex-spouse but they don’t tell you that they are going to do that by taking them for themselves.
