She’s human, honest!

It must be really bad for Hillary Clinton that her campaign people are still trying to convince us that she’s human.

I mean, usually that’s a given with a Presidential candidate, isn’t it?

Politico’s Glenn Thrush interviewed long-time Clinton aid Neera Tanden who went to great lengths trying to convince listeners that Hillary is a normal person.

Like, she’s a person. She’s a normal person.

Like she’s a person?

Okay, whatevs.

She laughs; she cries.

She’s better than “Cats!”

For a year now, Team Clinton has been doing their level best to give the impression that Hillary is carbon-based.

Clearly it’s not working.

We are less than seventy days away from the election and Team Clinton is still trying to convince us that Hillary is a “normal person.”

She isn’t some scurvy spider spinning her web.

No! She laughs! She cries!

Sure. She cries. Right on cue. Just as she is describing her “good friend Chris” and how bad she feels about the fact that she got him killed he died so tragically.

Then, just as you start thinking that she is capable of human emotions, she busts out laughing in that mechanical, robotic cackle. And the human moment passes.

Neera Tanden can’t stress enough that Hillary isn’t “looking at things in some crazy Lady Macbeth way.”

For those who don’t know, Lady Macbeth decides to have her husband become king of Scotland by murdering King Duncan.

In the scene where she prepares for this evil act, Lady Macbeth says this:

The raven himself is hoarse
That croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan
Under my battlements. Come, you spirits
That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,
And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full
Of direst cruelty! make thick my blood;
Stop up the access and passage to remorse,
That no compunctious visitings of nature
Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between
The effect and it! Come to my woman’s breasts,
And take my milk for gall, you murdering ministers,
Wherever in your sightless substances
You wait on nature’s mischief! Come, thick night,
And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark,
To cry ‘Hold, hold!’

Translate to Dianny English:
Make me heartless and unfeeling so that I can do what needs to be done to kill that bastard Duncan and not feel guilty about it.

Macbeth kills Duncan as his wife commands. He becomes king of Scotland. But in the end, Lady Macbeth is not so successful at stripping herself of a conscience.

The guilt over what she has done drives her to madness.

So, no, Hillary isn’t Lady Macbeth.

Unlike Shakespeare’s evil queen, Hillary was completely successful at being filled “from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty.”

She has no conscience, no remorse, no milk of human kindness.

Hillary Clinton will not, a year from now or a decade from now, wander through the dark halls in Chappaqua fretting over the blood on her hands.

Though fictional, Lady Macbeth was made of human parts.

The same cannot be said of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

She may be more real than the fictional queen of Scotland, but her humanity is far more contrived.

Indeed. You can use many words to describe HRC, but ‘normal’ would never be one of them. Outstanding Lady Macbeth analysis!
