Sméagol takes the easy road
In the Trump era, there are two roads elected “leaders” can choose. The hard road is doing the work necessary to improve the lives of citizens and thereby showing the nation that your way, not Trump’s, is the successful way. The easy road is doing absolutely nothing for your citizens and instead attacking President Trump and his Administration on Twitter for those sweet, sweet retweets.
To date, no anti-Trump politicians have tried their hand at the hard road.
I mean why put in all the time and effort to actually lead when taking the easy road gets you national recognition, Twitter retweets, and interviews with Rachel Maddow and Don Lemon?
The easy road has worked wonders for Gretchen Whitmer, Andrew Cuomo, Bill de Blasio, Jenny Durkan, Mitt Romney, Ted Lieu, Muriel Bowser, and, of course, Chicago Mayor Lori “Sméagol” Lightfoot.
Sméagol learned quickly that bashing Trump on Twitter works much the same way as ink from an octopus’ ass.
Just a few weeks ago Sméagol was booking down the easy road tweeting her snotty “clap-back” at the President saying she “doesn’t need leadership lessons from Donald Trump.”
And lost behind the ink of all the “You go, girls” and “Yaas Kweens!” Twitter replies were all those lives lost on Sméagol’s watch.
Beneath the cloud of deflection, Sméagol can not only hide her own incompetence, but she can avoid having to do the difficult and time-consuming work of making Chicago a shining beacon rather than the murder capital of the Midwest.
Sméagol isn’t a mayor. She’s a Twitter shit-poster.
Meanwhile shots ring out in the Chicago night – night after night, week after week, month after month. And Sméagol does nothing about it.
In her daily press briefing yesterday, Kayleigh McEneny, when discussing Chicago’s rampant murder rate, called Sméagol a “derelict mayor.”
Now, the definition of “derelict” in this context is “Neglectful of duty or obligation; remiss.”
When you consider that people are being gunned down in the streets on a nightly basis while Sméagol is sending police to arrest church-goers and deploying the Census Cowboy, seems to me McEneny’s use of the word with regard to Sméagol Lightfoot is spot-on.
But before you could say “Giddy-up,” Sméagol hit the easy road and sucked up for those sweet, sweet retweets.
What an incompetent idiot.
But, see, the easy road worked. The Twitter ResistanceLOL always takes the side of the person who attacks the Trump Administration — even if that person is a derelict mayor who couldn’t find her way out of a paper bag with a flashlight and a roadmap.
And Sméagol knows that.
She also knows that, thanks to this “clap-back” against the media-reviled McEneny, the CNN and MSNBC bookings will start rolling in.
It isn’t about public service.
It isn’t about doing what’s right or what’s needed.
Instead, it’s all about using Trump-hate to elevate your own public profile.
Even if you have to ignore a sea of dead bodies to do it.

I think she looks like a toad. Which makes me think of the Bible’s description of some demons. She’s a demon. She has no concern for innocent people or even any person other than herself in general. She’s an evil toad.
I think she looks like a Zombie! Totally!
I’ve been meaning to ask~ is that her REAL hair and if so, how the heck did it get that way??
Another ‘spot on’ commentary about the low-life’s in sewer politics!
