Sorry Chuck and Nancy: Trump isn’t a Squishy Republican
While awkwardly standing side-by-side at a too-small podium, Frankenschumer and Bride Nancy assured the American people that they would discuss securing the border only the partial shutdown ends.
Turns out they … what’s the word … lied.
For decades, the Democrats have relied on the their squishy Republican counterparts to fall for their lies and cave.
I can’t count the number of times Democrats played the Wimpy Card of “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
And they tried it again in this wooden “Democrat Response.”
“We’ll gladly talk about securing the border later if you end the shutdown today.”
But like every other time the Democrats promise to “compromise” on the condition that squishy Republicans cave, they’re lying.
There’s just one problem.
Donald Trump isn’t a squishy Republican.
And in his negotiations with them yesterday, President Trump exposed their lie and rather than cave, he got up and walked away.
Is it possible Chuck and Nancy are beginning to discover that Donald J. Trump isn’t like every other squishy Republican from the Surrender Party?
He isn’t going to fall for their “we’ll compromise only after you give us what we want” BS.
Good on President Trump for choosing to walk out rather than playing Charlie Brown hoping this time Lucy Pelosi will let him kick the football.
Baked in to every Democrat strategy for success is the Squishy Republican Surrender Factor.
And without the inevitable cave from Republicans, the Democrats lose.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Chuck and Nancy figured this time would be no different.
The Squishy Republican Surrender Factor has served them well.
Until now.
Because President Trump won’t cave.
But rather than give up, Chuck and Nancy are doubling down.
They really think repeating the “this is a manufactured crisis” talking point is going to work.
They really think that having their Handmaids in the Media parrot it is going to work.
Have they been in a coma since 2015?
When has Democrat fear-mongering and media histrionics worked on Donald J. Trump?
The fact is, Chuck and Nancy might have the news media on their side, but not the American people.
The latest Politico/Morning Consult poll shows that 79% of Americans believe we have a problem at our southern border. Only twelve percent think our southern border is neither a problem nor a crisis.
Despite that, Chuck and Nancy (and their dutiful Handmaids in the media) continue to claim there is no problem at our border.
Their argument is weak and moronic.
Then again, Democrats never have the better ideas.
Their only hope of winning is a media full-court-press to get the President to cave.
But he ain’t cavin’!
And the longer he holds out, the weaker Chuck and Nancy get.
I mean, when even Cher is telling you to give in and give Trump the money for the wall, you know you’re getting weaker.
Let’s be honest. Chuck and Nancy can’t afford to lose the UNHINGED, ALL-CAPS, EMOJI-CRAZY GOOFBALLS WHO PREDICT GLOOM ??AND DOOM ??.
Because they’re the only people outside of the Fake News Media who are on their side.
And let’s be honest, that’s not exactly holding all the cards.
Without a squishy Republican to save them from themselves, Chuck and Nancy have no hope of winning.
And sadly for them, they don’t have the requisite squishy Republican.
They have Donald Trump.

Cher needs to think rationally. It has been a problem for years. It has come to its head because it has been all talk an no action. There has not been any compromise, as to why we are here now.
I said this on another forum, like a divorce, things come to a head when things are not working and then that leads to a divorce. She should know. This has come to it’s head.

All the recent fotos of Schumer have made my looking at him impossible without visualizing Bela Lugosi.
I like Chuck and Nancy as Frank and Bride.
But I really think you’d be happier with them as Fred and Lily, Biden as Grandpa, David Hogg as Eddie, and Evita Guevara-Castro as Marilyn Munster. I can pick ’em, but I haven’t got your skills with ‘Shop to do them justice.

Squishy Republican Surrender Factor — caving. Haven’t you just gotten really REALLY tired of it?
There was a time, back around the Ross Perot era, I thought that one day one Presidential candidate will run on the premise of serving one term only. Work everyday without consideration or concern for a second term. 100% of the four years in office could be spent in constructive action without any thoughts of consequences for re-election.
And that kind of candidate probably would not see caving as a strategy, either.
