Stop Calling it Investment

One of the things Liberal Democrats are saying about Baltimore is this wouldn’t be happening if Republicans in Congress been willing to invest more money in urban areas.

Maybe it’s because Liberal Democrats don’t understand how investors choose what to invest in that they are incapable of understanding how idiotic this is.

So let me give them hand.

If I had tons of money that I could use to invest, I would choose to invest in something that would garner me a return.

Investment means, I am taking a risk that giving an entity or a person money will pay off for me. I will receive a return on my investment.

By the same token, I am not likely to invest in something that is really just flushing my money down a toilet.

Let’s take Baltimore.

Why would I waste my money “investing” in an area where the people who live there destroy the businesses, the homes, the value of the area by rioting, and burning buildings to the ground?

What kind of return for my investment would I get?

A big fat donut hole.

Look at the “War on Poverty.” American taxpayers have, to use the Liberals’ word, “invested” somewhere between fifteen and twenty TRILLION dollars to ostensibly eradicate poverty.

And look at how badly that “investment” went.

If the American taxpayer is really an “investor,” why the hell would we want to get burned yet again by the world’s worst Ponzi scheme?

It isn’t an “investment” when you are legally bound by law to fork over the money. Investors choose whether or not they wish to invest.

American taxpayers aren’t “investors.” We have to pay this money whether it’s a good “investment” or not.

We are legally compelled to hand over our hard-earned money to the Government so that it can, once again, squander it on a monumental level.

Now, we all know why they use the word “Invest” and “Investment.”

Because even Liberal Democrats have the brain wattage necessary to understand that Americans are hardwired to despise taxes. Americans, culturally, find wealth redistribution repugnant because, as a culture, we believe in working hard to get ahead.

And this is precisely why Democrats now use the words “Invest” and “Investment.”

[On a side note: It’s also why they are permitting uneducated, poor illegals from Marxist hell-holes in Central and South American to flood into our country, if you want to know the truth. What better way to change the culture that hardwires a people to believe in hard work to get ahead than by changing the culture of the people? But that’s for another day.]

President Obama talks about “investing in education” as if we the people have a choice in how we spend money on education. We don’t. Obama is flatly opposed to school choice, which is an actual, honest-to-God example of investing your money in the education of your children.

President Obama talks about “investing in communities” as if we the people are able to use our own money to invest in our own community. We don’t. We have to invest in communities we’ve never been to, lived or, or ever wish to live in.

Hearing Obama talk about “investing” in Baltimore should make your spider sense tingle. Hell, any time an idiot like Obama uses a word he has no relation to, your spider sense should tingle.

If Baltimore were ever a part of an investment portfolio, any potential investor would take one look at the ruin this city’s government has created and run screaming from the room.

Let’s face it. Even when Obama dabbles in investing in business, he tends to choose big losers. Like, say, Solyndra.

The Federal Government doesn’t invest. It isn’t Charles Schwab or E-trade.

In fact, if the Federal Government wants to think of itself as “investing” your money, it should be charged and imprisoned for running a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff look like a piker.

Frankly, every time you hear Obama or any Democrat for that matter talk about “investment,” hear the words “wealth redistribution,” or, to put it bluntly, hear the words, “taking money out of your pocket and giving it to someone else who will waste it.”

Stop calling it investment

Keep this in mind as we enter the 2016 presidential season.

Democrats will use the words “invest” and “Investment” as if they really are investing in something that will result in a fabulous return.

But, like most things Democrat say, it’ll be complete and utter bullshit.

They want your money.

They want it to Fundamentally Transform America.

They want it to redistribute to those identity groups Democrats love.

They want it to punish you for having the audacity to earn a living and make a comfortable life for yourself.

They are greedy, resentful, money-grubbing bastards.

And nobody should ever “invest” with them.

I don’t know who authored this statement, but it is so true. “You have to give up on trying to help some people. Not because you don’t care but because they don’t.”
