Ted Lieu’s Dual-Loyalty Smear

Democrats seem to have the memory of a fish. It was just a few months ago that the Democrats found themselves having to deal with the anti-Semitic dual-loyalty smear from the Jew-haters Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. But already Congressman Ted Lieu has forgotten all about it.
In a series of snotty tweets (of course they’re snotty; it’s Ted Lieu), Lieu accused the US Ambassador to Israel and Republican Congressmen Steve Scalise and Mo Brooks of dual-loyalty.
Actually, it’s worse than that.
Lieu goes further than claiming they have dual loyalty. He actually accused them of being anti-Americans and having allegiance to Israel over the United States.
Why?
Because they all voiced support for Israel’s right to decide who can and cannot enter its sovereign state.
Hey @RepMoBrooks: A reminder that you are an American Member of Congress. Your allegiance should be to America. We are Americans first. You should be defending the right of Americans to travel to other countries. Get it? https://t.co/4FhRWXsLJP

Hey @SteveScalise: You are an American Member of Congress. Your allegiance should be to America, not to a foreign government. You should be defending the right of Americans to travel to other countries. If you don't understand that, you should find another line of work. https://t.co/LIyX7l0C3c

How is supporting Israel’s right to act as a sovereign nation not showing allegiance to the United States?
Who the hell knows?
All that was missing was Ted adding “It’s all about the Benjamins.”
But Ted’s tweets are ridiculous for another reason other than the dual-loyalty smear. And that’s his insistence that Americans have a RIGHT to travel to other countries.
Really? We have a right to travel anywhere we want regardless of whether or not the potential host nation wants us there?
Since when does American citizenship trump another nation’s sovereignty?
That’s a patently absurd thing to claim.
But we’re talking about Ted Lieu here. Patently absurd claims are what he does.
Nobody has a RIGHT to enter another country.
Several Americans have been barred from entering the UK – Pam Geller, Robert Spencer to name a couple.
There are Muslim nations that bar anyone who is Jewish or anyone who has even visited Israel.
The Obama State Department barred an Israeli from the far-right Kach Party from entering the US in 2012.
[And I’m sure Ted clapped like a meth-addled seal when El Paso’s Congresswoman demanded President Trump not come to El Paso. And that was the President of the United States traveling somewhere within the United States.]
Despite Ted’s moronic claim, no American has a RIGHT to travel any old place he or she wishes. If that were true, there would be no need to apply for a visa, would there?
Lieu has since deleted one of this dual-loyalty tweets. But only one.
It has been brought to my attention that my prior tweet to @USAmbIsrael raises dual loyalty allegations that have historically caused harm to the Jewish community. That is a legitimate concern. I am therefore deleting the tweet.

Interesting isn’t it? Lieu acknowledges that dual loyalty allegations “have historically caused harm” yet Ted was apparently unaware of that historical fact until it was “brought to my attention.”
Where was he six months ago when Tlaib and Omar kicked up a hornets’ nest by accusing lawmakers of dual loyalty? Was he in a coma? Or was he just too busy live-tweeting snarky comments during Judiciary hearings to notice?
You should read some of the replies to Lieu’s garbage dual-loyalty tweets.
His followers are so filled with bile and hate, it doesn’t surprise me that Leftists are resorting to violence. Yet it is to these very crazies that reckless fool Ted Lieu is trying to appeal.
It really is quite a sight to see the Democrats going all-in to defend the two Jew-haters in their midst.
They’re willing to lie, to slander, and even resort to the typical Anti-Semitic tropes like dual-loyalty to do it.
The party that regained the majority ostensibly to “fight” for healthcare and “working Americans” are far more invested in fighting to defend two virulent anti-Semites. It seems self-destructive to make Omar and Tlaib the hill on which the Democrat Party is willing to fight and die.
But here we are.

“We have a right to travel anywhere…” I hope he uses that right he thinks he has to go wherever he wants to go and seek asylum.
I can just imagine in the latter years of life when his great grand-kids ask. Poopoo can you read us your old tweets again? They are so effin hilarious.
