Tell me again why Laura Jarrett works for CNN

The day before President Trump was inaugurated, I pointed out that CNN had hired Valerie Jarrett’s daughter Laura to be their DOJ correspondent.

As I wrote at the time:

Did you know that in September, CNN hired Valerie Jarrett’s daughter Laura?

Yeah. They made her a reporter in their Washington bureau.

And now, with incoming President Donald Trump, CNN will have Laura Jarrett cover the Department of Justice.

Jarrett, a graduate of Columbia School of Journalism, has two decades of experience as a reporter.

No she doesn’t!

I made that up!

Laura Jarrett has zero experience in journalism.

Laura Jarrett’s sole “qualification” is being the daughter of Obama’s consigliere Valerie Jarrett.

If I had to guess, I’d say CNN gave her the job covering the DOJ to provide cover fire for the outgoing Obama Administration.

Now, that’s pure conjecture on my part, I know.

But what better way to make sure the Obama Administration is shielded while simultaneously smearing the Trump Administration than employing Valerie Jarrett’s non-journalist daughter?

They knew their attempt to interfere with the 2016 election and destroy the incoming President failed. And I think placing Laura Jarrett at the Justice Department as a “reporter” was just one more “insurance policy.”

And apparently, she’s earning her paycheck.

Now, call me naïve if you want.  But that sounds less like Laura Jarrett “reporting” and more like Laura Jarrett “opining.”

I mean, unless AG Barr literally sang something, Laura Jarrett saying he is singing “from Trump songbook” is not reporting.

Instead, Valerie’s daughter is casting shade on Attorney General Barr by claiming he is not conducting a legitimate investigation, but instead, only doing President Trump’s bidding.

But of course she is.  She’s Valerie Jarrett’s daughter. I’m sure she’s concerned that mummy might be implicated in any investigation into SpyGate. Wouldn’t you go out of your way to protect your own mother?

If CNN had any ethics whatsoever, they would replace Laura Jarrett as the DOJ correspondent due to conflict of interest.

But who am I kidding?  CNN has no ethics. They counted on that conflict of interest when they assigned Laura Jarrett to cover the DOJ.

This effort to smear William Barr in order to discredit his investigation into the Obama Administration-led coup is well coordinated, is it not?

It’s almost as if these people – from Nancy Pelosi to Jerry Nadler to Kamala Harris to Mazie Hirono to the so-called “news” media – are all singing from the same songbook.

Trust me.  There’s a reason Valerie Jarrett’s daughter is embedded at CNN to “report” on the Justice Department.

And it certainly isn’t because she’s the real life Lois Lane.

This is about running interference. This is about continuing a decade-long new media tradition of shielding and protecting Barack Obama.

It’s CNN’s dumb luck that they’re so ham-handed about it that they think nothing of putting Valerie Jarrett’s daughter on their payroll.

I have no doubt that both the Democrats and their media handmaids know just how corrupt and treacherous the Obama Administration was (and, alas, still is).

And I think the biggest fear right now is any investigation into SpyGate and the subsequent Russia hoax will not only spell trouble for the likes of James Comey or John Brennan, but may very well expose Obama himself.

I’ve been saying all along I believed that when it comes to SpyGate, all roads lead to Obama.

And who better to have planting landmines along those many roads under the pretense of “reporting” on the Trump Justice Department than the daughter of Obama’s own Rasputin, Valerie Jarrett?
