The 25th isn’t some “Get out of a Presidency Free” card

Last night, Alan Dershowitz appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss Andrew McCabe and his cabal looking to remove President Trump using the 25th Amendment.
Well, President Trump reacted to this segment, sending out this tweet.
Not surprisingly, the usual suspects among the Anti-Trump ResistanceLOL disagreed.
Who wants to tell Ted that Andrew McCabe and his deep state cabal are not the VP and majority of the Cabinet?
Yes, the 25th is part of the Constitution.
But that doesn’t make it some all-purpose “Get out of a Presidency Free” card.
The mechanism is clear: It is for the Vice President and majority of the President’s Cabinet to decide if a President is so physically or mentally incapacitated to the point where he can no longer perform his duties.
The 25th isn’t there to be a substitute for the impeachment process – which was Alan Dershowitz’s point.
And it certainly isn’t something a cabal of unelected partisans can wield behind closed doors in secret meetings.
Either Ted Lieu and Jim Acosta are being deliberately obtuse or they are incredibly ignorant about the 25th Amendment.
My guess is they’re simply pretending not to comprehend the point Alan Dershowitz is making in that clip.
And by tweeting it out, they are choosing to gaslight their insipid followers who won’t bother to watch the segment themselves and refuse to let facts get in the way of their deranged desire to nullify the 2016 election.
I expect that kind of garbage from a hack like Jim Acosta. It’s become his job to fudge the facts and squirt ink into the water.
Same with Ted Lieu.
But the frightening thing is Ted Lieu is both an attorney and a member of the House Judiciary Committee. And that makes this kind of flagrant dishonesty all the more egregious and inexcusable.
Andrew McCabe admitted that he and his fellow co-conspirators actively sought a way to remove the duly elected President because they didn’t like him or his policy decisions.
That isn’t using the 25th Amendment as it is intended; instead, it’s a straight-up coup.
And when you get right down to it, yutzes like Ted Lieu and Jim Acosta are totally fine with that.

unfortunately, when all is said and done, this will be allowed, and nothing will be done to the perpetrators
Try not to be cynical. I followed the Watergate shenanigans closely. At one point, people said the same thing about Nixon and the plumbers. In the end, Nixon resigned and several plumbers went to prison.
I have faith that the anti-Trump cabal peeps will eventually see justice.
Dear Diary, I never read the 25th amendment (there are just sooo many of them! I think I made it to 14), but I’m pretty sure it says you can remove a president if an election doesn’t go the way I want it to. Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
So Proggressives, in the past, have hidden the fact that one of their highest ranking members was actually totally incapacitated? I’m beginning to see a pattern here
