The Climate Change Comedy Stylings of AOC

“Good evening, folks.  And welcome to the Climate Change Comedy Club!  We got a great line-up for you tonight.  First up, from the Bronx, please give it up for the climate change comedy stylings of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez!!”

“Wow!  Thank you so much!  It’s like, great to be here and whatever!  You know, I was hoping to arrive here at the Climate Change Comedy Club by high-speed rail, but wouldn’t you know it?  The Republicans won’t fund it!”

[laughter]

“I gotta tell ya, folks.  I mean, like, you know.  I had to hire an Uber.”

[laughter and applause]

“You know what’s fun?  I, like, get so much fun out of terrifying little children by telling them the world is ending in twelve years.”

[wild laughter]

“I know, right?! Those little kids are, like, so easy to prank. It’s like, you know!”

[laughter and applause]

“I mean, jeeze, you guys!  Like, it’s a joke! There they are running through the halls of Congress all terrified and traumatized and like ‘Oh, no!  We’re gonna like die in like twelve years!!!’ And I’m like, duh! Can’t they take dry humor and sarcasm?! I mean, like, come on! Are you like a sea sponge?!”

[wild laughter and applause]

“I mean, like, are you friggin’ Sponge Bob Square Pants?! Come on!”

After months of fearmongering that the world is going to end in twelve years if we didn’t pass her stupid Green New Deal, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez let us in on a little secret.

She was just joking!

That’s right, folks.  It was just the crazy climate change comedy stylings of the former bartender turned Twitterlebrity.

This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and “fact check” it.

Like the “world ending in 12 years” thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal.

Problem is, one of the sea sponges that failed to get the joke is none other than the Climate Change Comedy Queen herself, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Thomas Lifson at American Thinker found this quote from one of Alexandria’s Instagram posts about the impending disaster of Climate Change:

“For everyone who wants to make a joke about that, you may laugh, but your grandkids will not.”

What the heck, AOC?! You must have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal!

And the traumatized children who paraded through the halls of Congress terrified that the earth would be nothing but a cinder in 12 years probably missed the nuanced sarcasm as well.

Yet now this dimwitted fool wants us to believe that all her “The end is nigh” fearmongering was just some subtle, nuanced bit of Climate Change Comedy.

The fact is, the “GOP” (AKA everyone with half a brain) knew all along that this gloom and doom about the world ending in twelve years is a joke.

It’s why we don’t take anything this clown says seriously.

Why else was her ridiculous and quickly-deleted fact sheet met with raucous laughter?

“Thank you and goodnight!  I’ll be here every night until 2020!  Be sure to try the Green New Veal!”
