The college bribe scandal
You know, I really don’t know what to say about this college bribe scandal that broke yesterday.
Personally, I think the nation would be best served if every single university got bulldozed to the ground. So the fact that wealthy idiots are willing to bribe and cheat to get little Dakota or Madison into Yale or Georgetown seems like a tremendous waste of money.
To me that’s like bribing someone to get the best table at the local soup kitchen.
Or paying a ticket scalper a thousand bucks to see the band that played at your neighbor’s son’s Bar Mitzvah.
Or paying a hundred thousand dollars for a ’76 Yugo.
The American Higher Education system is irreversibly broken.
Let’s be honest here. When the students at Sarah Lawrence are holding a strike demanding, among other things, free laundry detergent and fabric softener, do you really have any faith that holding a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence is worth the paper it’s written on?
So what’s the difference if your rich parents bribe your way in or you take on a crippling student loan you will never be able to pay back?
Either way, you’re wasting your money and time.
In the Higher Education grift, there is only one winner and that’s the colleges and universities.

Federal student loan backing is a direct subsidy to left-wing universities that can’t even protect basic speech. And worse, it’s a regressive subsidy: it makes the guy who never went to college foot the bill for the elites who do.

A conservative Congress would, AT MINIMUM, freeze those subsidies so they don’t permit universities to raise tuition rates well above inflation year after year. Instead, even that very mild step was never even on the table during GOP-controlled 2 years. Profiles in courage!

Galaxy brain level idea: if we’re eating the rich, @AOC, why would we exempt Harvard’s 39 BILLION dollar endowment from taxes? Why is anyone taking out a single dollar in loans to go to Harvard with that amount of cash laying around?

College is the biggest long con ever perpetrated on the American people.
And frankly, the wealthy parents who got caught in this college bribe scandal are the biggest suckers and idiots to ever walk the earth.
Okay, the second biggest.
The biggest suckers and idiots are the ones who willingly take on hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt to spend four years being pampered, protected, indulged and indoctrinated at a college or university that then spits them out just as ignorant and ill-prepared for life as they were before they enrolled.

Never, ever, NEVER hire a Sarah Lawrence graduate!! EVER !
She went to an IVY league level school Boston University. If I was a parent i would be scratching that one off the list. Make them compete for students. No More federally guaranteed loans for college. Or if you keep them do a sliding scale the more employable the degree the lower the interest rate Engineers and computer science majors pay a lower rate than degrees that are not employable outside academia.
This IS NOT NEW news. This has been going on for quite some time. These students become Post Turtles. Biggest/Best example BARACK H. OBAMA, and probably MOOCH TOO. This is the reason his college records are hidden/buried. Not so much his status an nationality. But WHO was his MYSTERY BENIFACTOR(s). You want to talk about Scandal, nefarious motives, bribe moneys, payoffs. Between him , Mooch and AOC can there be ANY DOUBT that this BRILLIANT REVELATION isn’t NEW? These folks could not have done it all on their OWN. How about Hank Johnson, the Representative that thinks Guam would tip over. Maxine Waters anyone?
The Post Turtle. You are driving along a country road admiring the view, when you see something sitting on top of a fence post. You stop when it seems to wiggle a bit. Upon closer examination you realize that it is a turtle on top of a post. How in the world did it get up there? You know that someone put it up there, it could never climb up the post on it’s own. But WHY? There is no one else is in sight. It is clearly out of it’s element, lifted up to this lofty position by someone or something. It is WORTHLESS in it’s current situation. It is flailing around uselessly wasting precious energy and resources. The only way down is a bad fall. It is really just a cruel joke on the turtle, and all who see it there on top of the post.
