The French Laundry Aristocrat

The French Laundry Aristocrat

I can’t even be angry at California Governor Gavin Newsom violating his own dictates by attending a birthday party at the über-upscale French Laundry in Napa.

If you want to know the truth, the absurdity of it all just made me laugh.

We’ve so lost the plot here in this supposed Republic founded on the notion of self-government.

None of these domineering COVID Overlords is capable of following the dictates they impose on their subjects. And worse, they don’t think they need to.

Lockdowns are for the little people, not for the French Laundry Aristocrat or his wash and blowout aunt.

Do as I say not as I do is standard operating procedure in the United States of America. And these gormless tits aren’t even hiding it anymore. Worse still, we’re all just supposed to accept it.

While they close the schools for your kids, our betters like the French Laundry Aristocrat himself simply send their children to private schools.

You can’t travel, but they can.

You can’t enjoy a large dinner with friends, but they can.

You can’t earn a living, but they’re so rich they don’t need to.

The COVID response has deepened the class divide that already existed here in the United States.

And arrogant politicians like the French Laundry Aristocrat have no problem with that. Condescension and Obedience are the watchwords. And we are the dirt beneath their expensive loafers.

I’m reading an excellent book right now by Jack Buckby called “Monster of Their Own Making: How the Far Left, the Media and Politicians are Creating Far-Right Extremists.” And one of the main arguments Buckby makes is how disregard and condescension from those elected to serve the people does not come without a price.

Buckby writes:

So many politicians have no idea what it’s like to be a normal person, getting up early in the morning and catching a bus to go to work, watching the people on the television telling us what to think, trying to raise a couple of kids and keep up with bills.

Worse, those same politicians refuse to even consider the possibility that their policies might be hurting the people they’re meant to represent.

Does this not describe the French Laundry Aristocrat to a tee?

Or the insufferable Andrew Cuomo? Or Lori Lightfoot? Gretchen Whitmer? Nancy Pelosi? Joe Biden?

When his Aunt Nancy got caught violating Newsom’s COVID dictates on hair salons, her response was to attack the salon owner. That’s how little regard Nancy has for her own constituents.

You can’t push people like this without there being pushback.

Like I always say, for people who claim to believe in science, our politicians fail to grasp Newton’s Third Law – for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

You can’t treat citizens like subjects and not expect an equal and opposite reaction.

And Buckby’s point is that sometimes the reaction goes to the extreme.

[More on Buckby’s book later. I plan to review it once I’m done reading it.]

We are being beaten down while the privileged class enjoys the fruits of this lockdown. Not only do their lives go on as before, but many of them are actually profiting from this self-inflicted economic destruction.

The truth is, there is only so much of this the American people are going to put up with before the equal and opposite reaction strikes. And these self-proclaimed COVID Overlords like the French Laundry Aristocrat don’t seem to understand this. Or worse, they do understand. But we mean so little to them that they just don’t give a damn.

The funniest part of Queen Nancy and Duke de Newsome’s antics are the facile and completely grotesque attempts at “apologies” when caught out. “Alright your insufferable peasants, I’m sorry. There now STFU and go back to your hovels”!!!

We are not an aristocracy or a monarchy or an oligarchy. We are a democratic (we have elections for leftists) republic (we have representatives.) The left wants us to be run by their elites. We want to choose who we want through fair and legal elections, which the democrat party leaders want to have their will done no matter what we want.

I agree with you that many Americans have had enough of these politicians’ behavior. Are there enough Americans willing to do something about it? Going out and about and seeing almost everyone wearing a face diaper tells me, “No”, they won’t revolt against anything. That’s the depressing part.

Don’t think for a moment that just because I wear a facemask in public that I’m not part of any resistance to the dictatorial and un-constitutional mandates imposed on us by state governments. I wear a facemask because I believe there is a virus out there, and I believe the facemask can help prevent me from being infected and in turn, infecting my family. The facemask isn’t 100% effective, but any percentage is better than nothing. I also believe frequent washing and disinfecting can help.
Whether you or anyone else wears a mask or disinfects… I could care less.

I don’t believe in the statistics ‘they’ throw at us. I don’t believe I’m more susceptible to being infected if I am out after ‘curfew’. I don’t believe I’m ”less safe’ from infection if I’m 5 ft. from another person. And I don’t believe shutting down the economy will kill the virus.

I am more than willing to ‘revolt’ against any government mandates of my freedom.

We in NM are going through the same c**p! Our governor, Michelle Lujan (Wuhan) Grisham, has shut us down again for two weeks. We are a welfare State to begin with and now a lot of our small businesses are likely not going to recover and shut down permanently. We are now forced to stand in line at the grocery store because only 75 people are allowed in at a time. Even some of the Walmart’s in town are closed which forces crowds of people to gather in lines at the few that are open…smart move governor! She has been threatening us every week at her press conferences that if we don’t abide by the rules and wear masks and social distance and the numbers don’t go down and blah, blah, blah that she would shut us down. (Our thoughts are that she is “campaigning” for the Biden cabinet for HHS Secretary and showing how tough she is…supposedly she is a top contender, God help us all.) Our state is very rural except for Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and a few other “biggish” towns, and in regards to our population, our numbers are not high comparatively, and yet we have some of the strictest restrictions. The headlines in the local paper scream at us “28 people die in one day” and we’re having an “explosion” in positive Covid tests…fear-mongering at it’s finest! Yes, we are so sorry for the families that lost loved ones but the paper usually fails to mention the underlying conditions…we have fake news here too. They come across that anyone contacting Covid is dying. They told us that the number of positives would increase as winter came in, and now that more people are being tested the numbers are also increasing. This governor is vindictive and holds grudges against anyone or any businesses that cross her or question any of the decisions she is making. She tells us that until the virus is “exterminated” we will remain under some form of restrictions. We are unbelievably shocked at how easy it has been for the government to control us and threaten us with fines or even jail time. We do our part to abide by the restrictions, wearing the masks, social distancing, washing our hands and the whole bit to keep ourselves and others healthy, but we are so weary after eight months of lies, and half truths, and the threats, and closing our churches and telling us not to gather for the holidays. Is there an end in sight? Not so sure, especially if Sleepy Joe and/or Kamala Harris get to be president.

A great image for one of the conspirators in the flu d’etat. But as a Chinese major in college, I compare the cult of personality around Gavin Newsom to be similar to Chairman Mao’s; so much so, that with only minimal adaptation, I offer Mao’s song — The East is Red — for Gov Newsom (because he believes in the lyrics):
    California is blue.
    The sun is rising.
California has brought forth Gavin Newsom.
He has a plan to bring the people of California good fortune.
He is the people’s great savior.

    Gavin Newsom
    loves the people.
He is the one who will lead our way.
In order to construct a new California.
    He will lead our advance.

    The Party of Gavin Newsom
    is like the rising sun.
Wherever it goes it will shine.
Wherever the Party of Gavin Newsom is,
that is where the people are liberated.

18 years ago when my snooty President looked down his nose at me I was annoyed. 14 years ago when he said I was not an American I was mad! Still am.
I worked the fields 61 years ago to pay for college! I have shed more blood for America than 3 generations of the Bush lan combined have!
    “Work American will not do!”!
GWB thinks because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth he is better than I. I say lech mein amesh Herr Bush! Scheisse kopf!

I neglected to preface the last with PARDON MY FRENCH

  • November 20, 2020 at 8:14 pm

That didn’t sound like French to me, jarhead!

Boy. I’ve been looking for an excuse to use “gormless” in a sentence all week. I’ve been able to grok it before, but I had to look it up.

A suggestion for your next article about Biden: throttlebottom.

The whole point of the left is to destroy the middle class. Covid is just another tool. As long as the middle class is comfortable they will not revolt. But make them miserable and the revolution can begin. Workers of the world unite.
