The “I Know You Are, but What am I?” Strategy

Nothing says, “Member of the World’s Most Deliberative Body” quite like using the “I know you are, but what am I?” strategy.

Honestly, is there a dumber Senator than Claire McCaskill?

For some reason, Fox News Sunday had this idiot on yesterday where Genius Claire proclaimed that it was Donald Trump and his “best buddy” Putin who founded ISIS, not Obama and Hillary.

I guess “So’s your mother” wasn’t going to work here.

I know you are but what am I

How Donald Trump, who has not served as President or even Senator, could have founded ISIS is beyond me. But Claire is adamant.

You see, Obama couldn’t stay in Iraq — even if he wanted to — because there was no Status of Forces Agreement. So, ISIS emerged in Iraq. Therefore Trump founded ISIS.

If you’re having trouble following that logic, that’s probably because you’re not as smart as Claire McCaskill.

I find it somewhat relevant that McCaskill felt it necessary to add the caveat “even if the President wanted to.”

Does she not understand that by trying to absolve Obama of any responsibility for ISIS’ emergence in Iraq, McCaskill is admitting that Obama didn’t want to stay in Iraq, therefore, in the vacuum of the US leaving, ISIS formed there?

Maybe I, like you, am just too stupid to understand the brilliant Claire McCaskill.

This has got to be the lamest defense of Obama and Hillary ever uttered. And that’s saying a lot.

McCaskill also claimed that Donald Trump calling Obama out for his role in giving ISIS free rein over Iraq is “disrespectful to the military that is out there fighting ISIS every day.”

Suddenly Claire McCaskill respects the military?! Who knew?

I wonder which is more disrespectful. Trump taking Obama to task for being a weak commander-in-chief? Or a weak commander-in-chief handcuffing our troops with idiotic rules of engagement that prevent them from actually taking the fight to the enemy (while at the same time making sure boys who think they’re girls get to serve)?

I can only conclude that Fox News Sunday invited this dimwit on their show to remind everyone that Claire McCaskill is not smarter than a fifth grader.

Well played, Fox News. Well played.

The lack of a ‘status of forces agreement’ was just a pretext Obama used to withdraw US troops. He never even attempted to negotiate one. And make no mistake, it had nothing to do with protecting US troops from prosecution under Iraqi law. Obama has demonstrated many times his sheer contempt for our military personnel. Proof? US military personnel have no indemnity from prosecution in Japan or Germany. Why would Iraq be any different?
