The Washington Post jumps the shark

If you thought the New York Times was going too far in its efforts to excuse away the Obama Administration’s interference in the 2016 election, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Because the Washington Post wins the prize for the most absurd rationalizing ever:

Just … wow.

Talk about jumping the shark.

This is the journalistic equivalent of “Believe me, this hurts me much more than it hurts you.”

Democracy dies in darkness, but journalism dies at the Washington Post.

One can’t help but wonder what kind of headline the Washington Post would have written if it was George W. Bush’s DOJ and FBI that planted a spy in the Obama campaign.

But something tells me it wouldn’t have been that headline.

If, as this dimwitted opinion writer suggests, this covert operation was done to protect Donald Trump, why didn’t they let Mr. Trump in on the plan?

The fact that they hid it from him then spent the last two years denying they did such a thing kinda belies the premise of this piece.

Let’s be blunt here. The most cataclysmic political scandal in our history is about to explode. And the Washington Post – not to mention the New York Times – are rushing to explain it away as nothing.

These same publications that exposed the Pentagon Papers, Watergate and even Abu Ghraib are scrambling to make excuses for a multi-agency espionage operation run by John Brennan and targeting the opposing party’s nominee for President.

You just know the details of this scandal are going to be damaging not just to the Mueller witch hunt but also to the former president’s administration.

Why else would these idiots in the news media be working so hard at preemptive poo-pooing?

They know it’s bad.

And they know just how devastating this will be for the Obama Administration.

When the facts emerge, Americans will learn that the only “legacy” Barack Obama can claim is his weaponizing the intelligence community to undermine our own democratic process.

So they’re spinning furiously in hopes that their obfuscation will protect the Administration they spent eight years protecting.

But if these idiotic stories are any indication, this spinning – like everything the Left does — is pushing too hard and too far.

And it is going to backfire spectacularly.

Case in point:

Let’s face it. When you lose Midtown Manhattan, that is never a good sign.

It never ceases to amaze me just how willing these so-called “news outlets” are to nuke their own credibility just to protect Obama’s sorry ass.

Finally, as always, if you want to keep informed about all the moving parts in this rancid scandal, make The Conservative Treehouse a regular stop in your daily Internet travels.

Wow. The WaPo Limbo stick is too low, so they’re just blatantly stepping over it now.

Actually, I think the limbo stick is wedged somewhere in darkness — if you get my meaning.

How can one man, Obugass (ok maybe ‘man’ isn’t the correct label), have sooooo many soldiers soooo demented and evil, under him?? With the likes of Soros and other puppet masters, above him?? We Patriots have a long row to hoe to get back control of our country and government! The push back came with DJT but we still have to keep pushing. I don’t see too much we can do about our crooked FBI, CIA, DoJ, etc., until we do a heap of changing our congressional people!
But I digress. The Conservative Treehouse is always my first stop. Then The Patriot Retort. Then Brietbart. (Lawsy I miss that man BIGLY!) Card carrying Member of Rush Limbaugh! Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity at night. That’s about my daily internet and TV. All in all, YOUR site gets me going each and every day! Can’t wait to see who you’re going to make an ass of daily!

Remember when the MSM, if they smelled blood in the water would get into a feeding frenzy? Party affiliation didn’t matter. They would go for the jugular.
Gary Hart as to Jennifer Flowers and of course Wilbur Mills and Fanny Fox come to mind. Scandal, out came the knives.

Now, protect the leftist scum and their RINO sloth backstabbers Truth be Damned!

So much for the B.S. that is referred to as a Free Press. All lying sacks of SH..!

68 years ago my Dad worked in the Pentagon. So we lived ned DC. The Post ran fabricated american hate “news” stories. As a Grammar school kid id had to make a choice:
    1. Believe my lying eyes
    2. believe the “facts” reported by the Post.

What I understood then, and it is true in 2018, was that if you did not see for yourself what happened in
DC how would you know that the Post was publishing bogus “news” – as Don says FAKE NEWS.

When I lived in NY, NY I was too little to read so I know not about the NY Times. But I do know, and have known for almost 7 decades THE POST PUTS OUT ANTI AMERICA FABRICATIONS AS “FACTS”!

Imagine if Killary had won. This shit would be so entrenched within the fabric of gov’t that it woulda been the end of America as we know it. Which woulda been the grand finale to Bony assed Barry’s fundamental transformation of the country. Planned from the start of BaB’s first term, no doubt. Eight years of him, then 8 years of Killary, and there wouldn’t have been a shred of America left.

God blessed us with Donald Trump. I truly believe that.

Rush believes that this stuff is getting leaked to soften the impact of it when the report comes out

    • May 20, 2018 at 7:45 am

Not just Rush. That’s the general consensus. Because that’s what they always do.
