The Weepy Dictator

There’s this great line from “Truth and Consequences” — an episode of one of my favorite TV shows, “Burn Notice.” Michael Westen and his friends are trying to expose a Haitian strongman living under a false identity in Miami, and the voiceover where Westen describes him always makes me think of Barack Obama:

“Spend time with corrupt, homicidal, Third World political figures, and you’ll hear a lot of self-pity. What kind of man throws his political enemies in prison and then tortures them to death? Usually it’s a guy who feels so sorry for himself, he feels justified doing anything.”

When I saw the footage of Obama’s angry weeping in yesterday’s White House Propaganda Event, my first thought was, “FAKE!”

My second thought was, “Obama’s tears aren’t for victims of gun violence. His faux tears are to elicit pity. They are there to extract pity, not for the dead, but for him.”

Poor Barack. He cares so much, and yet he is so abused. Why, even he felt the need to point out how abused he is when he said, “I think we can disagree without impugning other people’s motives or without being disagreeable.”

Oh, waaaaa-WAAAAAAA-widdy-Waaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

How dare you mean people impugn Barack! How dare you question his motives!!!!

Self-pity. Barack Obama always has to play the victim.

Barack is the Weepy Dictator. The guy “who feels so sorry for himself, he feels justified in doing anything.”

That little acting routine was not to feign sadness for the victims, but to paint himself as the victim. He cares so much, yet is so misunderstood and “impugned.”

Clearly the White House wanted to capitalize on Obama’s weepy routine to further promote the myth that he is a super-caring guy who thinks nothing of himself, so feel sorry for him and refocus your anger at those who are so cruel as to impugn him. Why else would the main page of the White House website use this image:

Oh, waaaaa-WAAAAAAA-widdy-Waaaaaaaaa!!!!!! He cares so much! So very, very much!

Nothing Obama does is spontaneous or unplanned. Every moment, every detail, every breath, sign, scowl and tear was carefully staged to evoke pity. Not pity for those victims of “gun violence,” but pity for our put-upon, unappreciated, “impugned,” weepy Tyrant.
