They’re writing post-mortems while Kamala’s still running
I wonder what changed for the media in the eleven months since Kamala Harris jumped into the race. They went from fawning all over her like she was the second coming of Obama to writing post-mortems about her campaign before she’s even dropped out.
Over the last few weeks, there’ve been so many “How Kamala Harris’ campaign failed” articles that you’d think she already announced the end of her campaign.
I mean typically the post-mortems don’t happen until after the candidate drops out.
The latest campaign obit is from the New York Times.
Maybe I’m misremembering, but this must be a first in presidential politics. I don’t recall the news media ever writing the “what went wrong” post-mortems while the candidate was still out there campaigning. Do you?
Anybody else think of the “Bring out your dead” scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Seems like just a few months ago, Kamala was clothes shopping with a gaggle of giggling gal-pals pretending to be political reporters.
And now they’re writing obituaries for her campaign.
You really hate to see it.
Okay, not really.
In fact, this morning, I spent an hour or so going back and reading all the posts I’ve written about Kamala Harris since 2017. And I’m enjoying the heck out of the media eulogizing her campaign while she’s still campaigning.
Is that mean?
Probably.
But I don’t particularly like Kamala Harris.
You can’t really blame me for taking pleasure in seeing these post-mortems. Especially when you consider that the entire reason she ran for the Senate was to position herself for a 2020 run for the White House.
Kamala plummeting in the polls while major newspapers write preemptive obituaries is exactly what she deserves.
Plus it makes this tweet from her bumbling social media team all the more hilarious.

Now, I don’t expect Kamala to drop out anytime soon, I’ll be honest. She’s far too arrogant. And since the White House has been Kamala’s goal since she ran for the Senate, she ain’t giving that up easily.
No matter how many articles declare her candidacy dead.

When she attacked BHO without naming him’ but it was clear who did what she derided, she mad eliberals in BOTH parties hate her! She clearly has no chance in 2020. But Ronny irritated liberals when they crushed his run in ’76; he came back in ’80 and won big! Not saying she and he are similar; saying that you can lose big in your first run and win big in your 2nd!
For those under 60 liberal GOPe attacked Ron because he ,like Don, supported many D. Ron was a D until ’60!But hhis worst sin (to GOPe) was electing a President ALL THE EXPERTS SAID WOULD LOSE! Ron, almost single handedly won the ’48 election for HST! MANY GOP NEVER FORGAVE HIM. I bring the up because most readers were not even born when Ronny helped Truman beat Dewew. I was, and was literal then.
For emphasis. Kamel toe may be dead in 2020; but if she is as tough as she pretends to be, she could be the 2024 winner.
She was horrid during the Kavanaugh Supreme Court hearings. Actually she’s been horrid during any Committee hearing I’ve heard her talk at, and that cackle of hers.
Part of being President is you have to do well in front of a camera to ‘sell’ the US, part of the job is Showmanship or she’d say Showwomynship.
Either way she can’t drop out soon enough.
These 2020 Democratic candidates think more of themselves than we think of them.
I can’t see any of them standing toe-to-toe with the leaders of Iran, Korea, or China.
You would think the Dems would have learned about not posting Happy Birthday Future President tweets after the last disaster!
