Voter Intimidation: It’s a Democrat thing

Taking a page out of the Klan’s voter intimidation playbook, a United States Congressman tweeted out a list of San Antonio citizens who committed the unpardonable sin of donating the maximum to President Trump’s reelection campaign.

Joaquin Castro, chairman of his brother’s Presidential campaign, wrote in his accompanying tweet:

Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump — the owner of ‪[deleted by Dianny], owner of the [deleted by Dianny], realtor [deleted by Dianny], etc.

Their contributions are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.’

The Democrat Party’s election strategy is the same today as it was a century ago: Voter Intimidation.

What other possible reason would there be for publicizing on social media the names and employers of campaign contributors?

What Joaquin Castro did is the social media equivalent of dragging them into the town square, shaving their heads and letting a frothing crowd taunt and harass them. And if the Democrats’ foot soldiers show up at their homes and threaten them, all the better, right? Sure, they’re not burning crosses on their front lawns anymore. Now they’ll just vandalize their property while banging on their doors and screaming threats.

But this isn’t just voter intimidation targeting those specific donors. It has a broader objective as well.

What better way to stop other citizens from exercising their right to participate in the democratic process than to publish the names of other private citizens on social media as a warning: this will happen to you too if you donate to President Trump.

Again, all of this was done by a sitting member of the House of Representatives who, even now, is defending this reprehensible behavior.

I knew this kind of voter intimidation was coming.  We all did.  A month ago after President Trump hammered the Hate Squad, I wrote in my column “When they strike at Trump, we are their target:”

These guys aren’t particularly original. Since 2015, the media have been using smears like “racist” and “Nazi” in order to intimidate us into abandoning Trump.

In short, it’s a voter intimidation campaign.

Democrats can’t win in the arena of ideas.

So the media hopes to put its thumb on the scale by intimidating Trump voters with accusations of racism.

Here’s how they think it will work: Relentlessly accuse Trump of being a frothing-at-the-mouth racist so that normal folks like you and I are too afraid to vote for him — for fear that we, too, will be labeled as racists.

To tell you the truth, even I am stunned at how quickly and rabidly they are unleashing this Voter Intimidation strategy.

I knew it was coming.  But I didn’t expect it to happen all at once.

And I really should have.  The Left always, always pushes too hard and goes way too far. They have no OFF switch, no self-control and are not burdened with an overabundance of brains or conscience.

So rather than slowly, subtly create this narrative that supporting Trump makes you a white supremacist who must be intimidated or, in the hateful words of Reza Aslan, “eradicated,” they pulled out all the stops at once.  They have removed every speed bump and put the hammer down.

When you lack a conscience, it is easy to justify any tactic that a moral and virtuous society would instantly reject.

They want you afraid.  And if their intimidation tactics unleash violence against you, they’re totally okay with it.

This voter intimidation isn’t coming from fringe radicals nobody ever heard of.  It’s coming from elected Democrats and mainstream media personalities.

To those claiming the info @Castro4Congress tweeted about private citizens is collected for this “purpose”: so wrong. Transparency laws were supposed to help guard against pay-to-play/corruption; not to be used to incite hate against those engaged in civic process.

I won’t dox people as @JoaquinCastrotx did, but can confirm that his target list omitted Latino donors in San Antonio for Trump.

This means that Castro specifically singled out donors for their race, in violation of federal hate crime laws.

If this is how far these people are willing to go just to win an election, imagine how far they’d go if they controlled Congress and the White House.

Meanwhile, that reckless, dangerous fool Cory Booker is demanding that President Trump cancel his campaign rallies.

No, I’m not kidding. 

Keep in mind, the same people who excuse, dismiss or engage in voter intimidation are the same ones who want you disarmed.

Think about that.

The Democrats know they cannot win in 2020 based on their ideas or agenda.  They know the American people are not with them on open borders, gun confiscation, abortion on demand and destroying our economy.

So they’ve chosen Voter Intimidation as their 2020 election strategy.  Vote for them, or else.

They want us silenced.

They want us afraid.

They want us threatened and harassed.

And they will stop at nothing to get what they want.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to be intimidated. We are fighting for our Liberty here. I refuse to live under tyranny. And this voter intimidation campaign is a window into just what kind of tyrannical government these cretins would deliver.

So here’s what I did this morning.  I went to President Trump’s website and made a donation to his reelection campaign.

This is how we push back.

Voter intimidation only works if we cower in fear.  Do not cower.  Do not let these garbage people strip you of your freedom to participate in our self-government.

Go ahead and make a donation.  It is the best way to tell these assholes to go fuck themselves sideways.
