Want to get away with rape? Befriend Lena Dunham

Condescending Caboose Tour

Though she probably doesn’t deserve the title, Lena Dunham is considered one of the most outspoken modern-day feminists in Hollywood.

And like most modern-day feminists, Lena stands by the credo “Always believe the woman.”

Well, not anymore.

When the news emerged that a former writer of Lena’s show “Girls” was accused of rape in 2012, suddenly Lena changed her mind.

Women will not only lie about what they ate for lunch, but also about rape.

She and fellow “Girls” alum Jenni Konner released this statement:

“While we cheer the fact that sexual predators in Hollywood are finally being exposed, we certainly never thought anyone we worked with would ever be accused. And that kinda changes things for us. Sure, we believe that the vast majority of accusers are truthful and have a right to be heard and supported. But three percent of rape accusations are false. And it just so happens that those three percent are against people we know. The other 97% are from outside our social circle – mostly among Republicans and white privileged heterosexual males who suffer from toxic masculinity. Now leave us alone because we’re not going to say another word about this because it makes us look like raging hypocrites.”

Okay, no. That’s not her statement.

This is her statement:

“During the windfall of deeply necessary accusations over the last few months in Hollywood, we have been thrilled to see so many women’s voices heard and dark experiences in this industry justified. It’s a hugely important time of change and, like every feminist in Hollywood and beyond, we celebrate. But during every time of change there are also incidences of the culture, in its enthusiasm and zeal, taking down the wrong targets. We believe, having worked closely with him for more than half a decade, that this is the case with Murray Miller. While our first instinct is to listen to every woman’s story, our insider knowledge of Murray’s situation makes us confident that sadly this accusation is one of the 3 percent of assault cases that are misreported every year. It is a true shame to add to that number, as outside of Hollywood women still struggle to be believed. We stand by Murray and this is all we’ll be saying about this issue.”

She’s known him a whole “half a decade?!” Wow. That’s practically a lifelong friend!

So much for women don’t lie about rape.

I worked with someone for about seven years before learning that he was a registered sex offender who was convicted for rape of a minor.

Funny how he never once mentioned that in the seven years I knew him.

I wonder why.

Now, granted he wasn’t a friend; he was a co-worker.

But the fact that I could work with someone and not know about this is hardly surprising.

Who in his right mind would hang out at the craft table eating Danish and talking about the girl he raped the night before?

So Lena knowing this man for “more than half a decade” and being blissfully unaware of the fact that he might rape someone isn’t that difficult for me to wrap my mind around.

But that’s not even the most galling part of this.

It’s the fact that Lena Dunham loves to pass judgment on people whom she does not know.

Hell, she’ll even tattle on two flight attendants whose conversation she eavesdropped on.

But when someone she knows for “more than half a decade” is accused of rape, Lena suddenly discovers that not all accusations are true and we shouldn’t judge people so hastily.

Well, at least, not her people.

It’s Lena’s sanctimonious entitlement and “more virtuous-than-thou” attitude that I find particularly galling.

But sadly, Lena will not change.

She will continue to portray herself as a champion of “victims.” And her sanctimony will continue without a hiccup.

Because just like every other Leftist, Lena doesn’t let her own rank hypocrisy get in the way.

You should see the praise from lefties heaped on weasel Al Franken for apologizing and asking for an investigation of himself.
They’re going on about how “honorable” he is…saying, “That’s how it’s done, folks.”
Riight. You know they’d be squealing with laughter if a conservative had apologized and requested an investigation of himself.
Two-faced to the end, of which I hope this is.
