When Idiots March

A crowd of white supremacists carrying tiki torches held a march through Charlottesville last night.

I’m sure somebody is going to point out that carrying tiki torches is probably cultural appropriation, but it won’t be me.

Wait. I guess it was me.

This march was the opening salvo for something called “Unite the Right.”

But from the look of it, their idea of “the Right” means “Idiot white guys who are just as divisive as idiot Leftists.”

After three years of Black Lives Matter, haven’t we had enough of the divisive and hateful rhetoric of Identity Politics?

You’ll have to forgive me, but I don’t see the world through race-colored glasses.

I’m just not wired that way.

And I find displays of racial supremacy repugnant and vile whether from Black Lives Matter or LaRaza or the Tiki Torch Idiots of “Unite the Right.”

But this is what happens when you normalize identity politics.

And that’s exactly what the Left has done.

The truth is, subdividing people by skin color is no longer fringe; it’s become the norm.

Teachers in grade schools, high schools and colleges are berating white kids for something they have no control over – the color of their skin.

The media has perpetrated this divisiveness by celebrating Black Lives Matter while parroting the claims of “white privilege.”

So is it any surprise that there is pushback from people who claim to be on “the Right?”

It’s Newton’s Third Law: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

And Charlottesville is the equal and opposite reaction to normalizing identity politics.

These dumbasses are fighting the identity politics of the Left by embracing the identity politics of the Left.

And that’s all kinds of crazy.

If you live by identity politics, don’t be shocked when it bites you in the ass.

What annoys me about this “Unite the Right” is exactly what annoys me about Black Lives Matter.

Skin color is not mutable — no matter what Rachel Dolezal may think.

Hatred and prejudice against people because of the color of their skin is moronic. Because we cannot help what race we are.

Likewise pride over the color one’s skin is equally moronic.

Why the hell would I be proud of being white? It isn’t like it was an accomplishment I achieved. I was born this way.

But this kind of racist ignorance isn’t innate in people.

No. It has to be taught.

And it has been taught, hasn’t it?

Identity politics has been normalized. It has been celebrated and embraced by the Left.

And now, clearly, it is being celebrated and embraced by people who claim to be on the “Right.”

This “Unite the Right” march is no different from Antifa, LaRaza, the Women’s March or Black Lives Matter.

And I’m with Paul Joseph Watson on this one.

If I am going to speak out against the Left using identity politics, you can damn well bet I will speak out when anyone claiming to be “the Right” does the same.

The sole purpose of identity politics is to divide us.

I find people like Richard Spencer just as repugnant as I find Linda Sarsour.

Personally, if a bunch of morons want to march through town carrying tiki torches, let them. I don’t give the hairy ass of a rat.

But the last thing these guys want is to “Unite” anybody.

Unity means about as much to them as black lives mean to Black Lives Matter.

Of course the reaction to this Tiki Torch March is over the top and moronic too.

They marched.

They didn’t smash buildings, set fire to cars, beat up police or kill anyone.

And yet the same people who embraced the racist rhetoric and actions of Black Lives Matter are setting their hair on fire over this.

Why? You guys on the Left unleashed this monster known as identity politics.

You’re just as culpable as these white supremacists when it comes to dividing this nation.

And as I write this, Antifa and the White Supremacists are battling on the streets of Charlottesville.

I can’t be the only one hoping they destroy each other.

Nope. I’m not.

They’re all filled with hate and bile.

Linda Sarsour, Richard Spencer, Antifa, BAMN, “Unite the Right” — I’m sick of each and every one of them.

I voted for Donald Trump in part to put an end to this vile practice of dividing Americans by identity group.

This divisive identity politics is exactly what Hillary Clinton exploited in her run for the White House. And she’s exploiting it still by embracing the so-called ResistanceLOL.

My voting for Donald Trump was a rejection of this.

I voted for Trump because I want to see America once again become the shining city on a hill – where every American has the opportunity to succeed and to thrive.

And if you’re embracing this kind of vile identity politics, you aren’t helping make America great again.

In fact, you’re no different from the destructive and hateful cretins on the Left.

So go ahead and march, you idiots.

But don’t think for a minute that I’ll buy your claim that your cause is just.

It seems to me that many of the “white supremacists” aren’t really they are just sick and tired of being demonized, criticized, ostracized and blamed for every bad thing in history so they are fighting back out of frustration. The first thing these idiots should do id realize being racists won’t stop other racists. The next thing they should try is changing the name of the movement from a divisive “Unite the Right” to a patriotic and inclusive “Unite America 2017”. After all it is our country we’re trying to unite and help break free from the heathen, racist left is it not?

    “Unite America 2017”

    Beautifully succinct.
    A great slogan for all.
Maybe even a great rally cry for 2020.
Too bad the Lefties will spit on it.
They want nothing to do with coming together. We’re all Deplorables, remember?

Skin color is immutable? Well, yes, but then I remember when Michael Jackson was short, black and had fat lips too…

Right wing stupidity is as bad as Left Wing stupidity. Two sides of the ass of the devil.

Trevor, what makes a pro-white racist a “Right-winger” but a pro black racist (as in Black lives matter) or a pro Hispanic racist (as in La Raza) not right-wingers? Their race? I’m confused. When blacks march for blacks, and Mexicans for Hispanics it’s just a protest but when white people march it’s a racist riot. And why is it some how okay for Africa to have Black nations and Asia to have Oriental nations but America can’t admit it’s a white nation? For the entire history of America we’ve been a white nation. We were founded by white Europeans, settled by whites, built and expanded by whites, governed by whites and the laws of whites and defended by whites almost exclusively. But somehow to say we’re a white nation is racist, why? My wife is a South Korean (legal) immigrant. She comes from an Asian country in both location and race. What’s the problem? Why is it okay to say she came from an Asian country but *racist* to say I come from a white one?

Leftists come in every hue — black, brown, white. So do people on the Right. Are you really confused about that? His point is clear. If you espouse identity politics and racial division, it doesn’t matter if you claim to be “right” or “left,” you are an idiot and a racist.

Regarding your other question. Let me state the obvious. America isn’t a white nation. This country was founded on ideals, principles — not on skin pigmentation. Liberty, Freedom, Individual Sovereignty are not “white” ideals. They are human ideals. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” This is America. White, brown, black, red, yellow, chartreuse. It doesn’t matter. Color is skin-deep. Freedom is in our hearts.

You may not think saying we’re a white nation is racist. But it is factually untrue. Yes, we were founded by people who were predominantly from Britain and Northern Europe. But we as a nation are not white. To presume this is to effectively say that any American whose melanin level isn’t identical to the Northern Europeans of the seventeenth century are not Americans.

Do you really believe that? There are black Americans whose ancestors have been here as long as the ancestors of the lily-white ladies from the Daughters of the American Revolution. Are you actually saying those blacks who have been here for generations upon generations aren’t really Americans because America is a white country?

Is your wife less of an American than you or I because she isn’t white?

      That’s nonsensical.

  • August 12, 2017 at 6:41 pm

I realize leftists and rightists come in every “hue” my question is why when they are of the black and Hispanic “hue” they’re called leftists but the white guys are called radical rightists.

Secondly, when you state “This country was founded on ideals, principles — not on skin pigmentation.” you are correct. I never suggested it was “founded on skin pigmentation” I stated it was founded by white people of European heritage. What country is founded on skin pigmentation? Are any? But it was founded by white people and they blessed this country with their ideals of Western Civilization which are those very items you mentioned: Liberty, Freedom, Individual Sovereignty. And although they “are not “white” ideals” they certainly are NOT human ideals since the very idea that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” never existed anywhere other than in Western Civilization.

You state that saying America is a white nation is “factually untrue”. You also say we were founded by people ” who were predominantly from Britain and Northern Europe.” Incorrect, they were exclusively from Britain and Europe. There is not one black, Hispanic, Asian or moslem among our Founders. Or is that racist too?

Saying that “we as a nation are not white. To presume this is to effectively say that any American whose melanin level isn’t identical to the Northern Europeans of the seventeenth century are not Americans” is patently false. I neither said nor did I infer any such thing. Nor did I say blacks or others who’ve been here for generations are not Americans. I just stated America was founded by whites and based on the principles of Western Civilization personified by the white race. You inferred the hostility towards minorities, hell I’m married to one!

The beauty of America is that people can come here from any nation on earth and of any race God created and become an American. But that does not negate our heritage.

BTW, I can go to my wife’s native Korea and after many years and a lot of bull crap I may be, that’s a big IF, become a citizen. But I’ll never be “A Korean”. Ya know why? I’m white.

I wasn’t trying to upset you, Dianny. Just add another point of view. Geesh.

    • August 12, 2017 at 6:47 pm

You didn’t upset me. This is what we call lively debate.

  • August 12, 2017 at 7:37 pm

Thank you Dianny. That’s what I hoped it is. I like your site and come here several times a day. I only discovered you a few months ago and I also liked the commenters here. I am home most of the time as I’m attached to oxygen awaiting a lung transplant so I read a lot of sites, left and right. Being conservative I do look for a bit of a fight once in a while. Any way thanks for the forum and your insights.

That had to be the greatest display of mental retardation I have ever witnessed! I don’t think I have ever seen that many retards in one place, not even Congress! A bunch of retards wearing pointy hats decided to gather (some say peacefully) to protest and the Anti(American)fa retards show up to rain destruction on anything and everyone. I do not even care if these two factions beat themselves into a stupor. What I am so upset over is the innocent loss of life that always happens when retards are allow to ‘protest’. I’m sorry but ‘free speech’ doesn’t give anyone the right to murder innocent people!

Wait, you voted for Trump to put an END to the divisiveness? Noble thought, but Trump has done more to divide this country than any other candidate in recent memory. Otherwise, I agree we need to put an end to identity politics and to judging people based on skin color.

    • August 13, 2017 at 11:55 am

Because Democrats screaming “Resist!” is so uniting. And Hillary accusing all whites of being inherently racist while calling half the country Deplorable brings us all together so beautifully. Should I also mention Obama’s endless attacks on the police while encouraging the rioters in Ferguson to “stay the course?” See, I am able to separate reality from the media-driven slander. Donald Trump spoke of Americans — he never subdivided Americans into identity groups. That was Hillary Clinton. And even now after the election, the media and the Democrats attack and vilify Trump’s voters — calling us stupid and racist and every other divisive thing they can dream up. The hatred and anger isn’t coming from Donald Trump. In fact, what isn’t being hurled at his voters is being heaped on him.

  • August 13, 2017 at 12:12 pm

If you believe that, True Moderate, you have been asleep during the last eight years of post-racial BS by Obama. But if I had a son he’d look just like you.

Racism in this country is exacerbated by the leftist need to divide people. Blacks become African-Americans, then there are Mexican-Americans and Hispanic-Americans. But guys like me aren’t German-Americans, or Irish-Americans or Italian-Americans. We’re JUST Americans. Any time the *minorities* would like to join America all they need do is drop the hyphen. My wife doesn’t even refer to herself as a Korean-American and would set you straight if you tried. But you can’t treat people as equals if they insist on separating themselves by name. Or as this guys points out:

C’mon Dianny, torches are bad? What about wearing masks, bandanas over the face, etc? Enough is enough.

Did I in any way leave you with the impression I don’t have a problem with Antifa? You might want to reread this post.
