My undergrad work was done at a “Liberal” Arts college. So I was faced to take Psych 1 in ’61. A term I learned, that has stated with me because it has been useful, was PROJECTION.
I have observer the last 66 years that liberals , almost universally, project their attitudes on Patriots. this is an undeniable ( to a person with an “open mind”, Something no one on the left has had in my life time!) case of progressive projection!

Yes. The word is “criminal.”
It is not only projection but a little beyond that. I have lived and worked with liberals. I’ve lived and travelled in a work capacity to the largest blue cities, states, countries around the globe. My experience is progressives, who are illiberal and insular, are really experiencing what the bad behavior they accuse everyone of. Problem is the bad behavior is happening in their isolated world from their own. They disaasociate to validate their accusations. For example: X did this bad thing so X must be a conservative or Republican because I am a progressive and I don’t do that.
Anyone or anything bad is rejected as being within their own realm of worldviews because they cannot cope.
It really and truly is a mental disorder. I used to think that was a cliche. It’s not.
Speaking of Rachel Maddow, her meltdown election night 2016 when she realized Trump that was elected is a classic and still makes me laugh.
I just sit back and grin at how Trump has driven the Left completely insane. Like…down the garden path. He’s the gift that keeps on giving…and giving…and giving. Not just shame for the Left…but elevating America to her previous greatness!
