You’ve Got One Hell of a Nerve

Gateway Pundit posted Attorney General Eric Holder’s statement regarding the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri early this morning.

Here is Mr. Holder’s statement:

Attorney General Holder Statement on the Overnight Shooting of Two Officers in Ferguson, Missouri
Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement Thursday on the overnight shooting of two officers in Ferguson, Missouri:

“This heinous assault on two brave law enforcement officers was inexcusable and repugnant. I condemn violence against any public safety officials in the strongest terms, and the Department of Justice will never accept any threats or violence directed at those who serve and protect our communities—from this cowardly action, to the killing of an officer in Philadelphia last week while he was buying a game for his son, to the tragic loss of a Deputy U.S. Marshal in the line of duty in Louisiana earlier this week. Such senseless acts of violence threaten the very reforms that nonviolent protesters in Ferguson and around the country have been working towards for the past several months. We wish these injured officers a full and speedy recovery. We stand ready to offer any possible aid to an investigation into this incident, including the department’s full range of investigative resources. And we will continue to stand unequivocally against all acts of violence against cops whenever and wherever they occur.”

What? Say that again?! “I condemn violence against any public safety officials in the strongest terms, and the Department of Justice will never accept any threats or violence directed at those who serve and protect our communities?!”

Wow. You’ve got one hell of a nerve, Mr. Holder.

You and your boss have spent the last eight months stirring the pot and fanning the flames.

Your actions over the last eight months haven’t been in a vacuum, you know.

Every action gets a reaction.

You’ve been accusing police of racism. Worse, you’ve been accusing police of targeting blacks.

Your boss encouraged protesters to “stay the course.”

Well that course had nowhere to go but here.

For you to self-righteously speak as if you have no part in this is beneath contempt.

Contempt. Now, there’s something you know a little bit about.

Just last week, you released a report accusing the Ferguson police of racism. You are on record saying that you would dismantle the Ferguson police if you have to.

You have aided in creating an environment of distrust and discord. And this statement reads as if you had absolutely no part in creating it.

You have got one hell of a nerve.

You and your boss may not be there on the ground in Ferguson wearing “Fuck the Police” T-shirts and destroying property, but you may as well be. These people are your surrogates. They are doing what you and your boss wanted them to do.

And all your claims that these have been “non-violent” protests fly in the face of reality — the millions of dollars in damages, the thefts and destruction of private property, the injuries, the beatings, the murders and now shooting police.

Anybody with half a brain could have seen this coming.

And, you don’t fool me, Mr. Holder.

You saw it coming to.

The difference is, you wanted it to come.
